[Suggestion] "Closable" accounts

Now I know what you are thinking, but it's not deleting them. Merely that if someone is truly NEVER coming back for whatever reason, they can go through a form that requires you to put some info/passwords in that prevents anyone from logging on from then on to help prevent hacking.

And, if they DO actually come back, they simply type in their user and password, and then a note will pop up asking for the info they had to fill out when "closing" the account.


I'm not sure if this is possible or if will help, but I'm just throwing it out there. Adjustments to the idea by others would be nice too.

I like the idea for people wanting to acquire the names to their accounts but I don't see the point in actually being able to log back in. If you thought one day that you might come back then you shouldn't close it in the first place.

I don't think it's necessary, however, as old accounts that are no longer in use are pretty much "closed" anyway.

or have a team (might be bad idea) be in charge of it and just PM them with the info they need

You have no idea, members will want to hack members, particularly members with a higher level of access to a restricted sector of the site and/or an administrator. It happens.

I do support, but there is the small chance that you may forget the information. Certain ways to prevent this are to ask questions such as this:

1. Home address.
2. Your IP (Black out the last 3 digits, i.e. say your IP is is 234.213.121, you insert 234.213.xxx, and it will confirm it). It will always give you a link to websites to check your IP.

These are just example questions which I'm sure can be improved on, but it is a start.
