[suggestion] soundtracks

I think we should have a soundtrack system, like the [youtube] [/youtube].
What I mean is, there is a speaker icon on the page, and when you click it, it plays sounds from a cd, iTunes, sony etc.

The main issue I see with this is that Myspace playlists are generated in Flash and some bands have a song to play as soon as the player is loaded. I'd rather not go into a thread where everyone's posting a Myspace flash player with half of them competing with the music I may already be listening to for my speakers' attention.

Not only that, but Flash applets sometimes take a while to load, depending on size, which could turn off 56k visitors if it's their first exposure to the site.

That really depends. There are quite a few members of Neoseeker out there who are in their own band and who have music on their computer that their band recorded and they're authorized to distribute how they see fit. While the majority of uses this could see may be considered illegal unless the songs were actively monitored for fair use compliance under the DMCA or the poster has a legal right to distribute the media, it can be a legal method for spreading the word about someone's band.
