To move the anchor statue, you have to go into your inventory where all your items and weapons are. Click on the Push/Pull option. Then use that action like you would a gun or a sword when you are next to the statue. Carnby should push it over to the side. ------------------- ![]() "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep."

Tnx a lot, SerialZero, and please apologize me if I send a pc request on this ps forum, but the pc one seems quite dead. However, my real problem is that I try to push the statue (selecting the correct command from the menu), but the statue moves of half an inch, and no more!

I had this problem with a downloaded version of aitd2 so I had to download a different one which didn't have the problem.Later on however I got stuck because Grace refused to go down a ladder on the pirate's boat!

I noticed that with the Playstation version, when you push the anchor statue straight across, sometimes Carnby will slip off to the side and the statue will not move. I believe you have to push the statue pretty much straight on to get it to open enough. If you start pushing off to the side, swing Carnby back over in the right direction and keep pushing. You also have to hold the push trigger command down the whole time you're pushing, if that helps. ------------------- ![]() "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep."

Well, thanks everyone. But it really seems like there is no way to make that silly statue move. I tried in every single direction, and for a long time indeed. I'm thinking that maybe it's a copyprotection bug: the fact is that I downloaded the version from internet (I lost the disks I had, when I played it the first time), and there may be some problems.

Ah-HA! I see now. That's probably the problem if you're playing a downloaded game off the internet. Most demos I've played on the Playstation or PC only let you go so far in the game, then you're stuck. You won't be able to play the whole thing this way, I imagine. To tell the truth, I haven't ever been overly fond of computer games for that reason. Too many problems can make things go wrong, like system incompatibility, computer glitches, game failures, etc. That's why I'm a pure console freak. You put the game in, and it plays. So unless the game CD is scratched beyond all recognition or your console has bit the dust, you don't have to worry about the game not doing what you want it to do. My advice would be to forget about computer games and get yourself a Playstation 2, because it's the best system EVER. There, I said it. Viva la Playstation! Incidentally, they have a version for Alone In The Dark 2: One Eyed Jack's Revenge for the Playstation, so that's why I'm bringing all this up. And there's no need to apologize for asking questions! That's how you find stuff out, right? ------------------- ![]() "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep."

The Anchor Statue |

HA! Why not? This is one of the slower forums on Neoseeker, so I think a little spamming is OK now and again. Especially if I can plug how great the Playstation is in the process. ------------------- ![]() "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep."

I had exactly same problem with pc verwsion. It has something to do with newer machines being too fast for the game or something. It causes the problem with running too. I downloaded a cpu lower program called turbo and ran it before playing the game and lowered my cpu speed. I had to play about with the cpu percentage speed a bit before I got it set to the right value ( 30 on my machine) After that I could run and push statue with no problem
