What du think the best character or class ect. s and why?

I like to be an "Undead Hunter", it allows me to have limited spells but also to have great strength and immunity to level drain, I really really hate being level drained. Also because of the extra damage bonuses and flexibility to use many magical items.

I like the sorcerer the best. It has the most spells and you don't have to worry about mamorizing spells. Combine that with sequencers and you are almost a god.

Cavalier Paladin. Immune to fear and a bunch of other stuff, and gets attack bonuses against dragons and stuff. I think my Paladin has a resistance to fear, poison, fire (gets healed when hit by fire dragons don't have a chance ) and some other stuff... Haven't played in a while, can't remember exactly.

And as a Paladin, you get to use Carsomyr!

Best character is in my opinion half-orc assassin.

I completeted Soa and Tob like 2 weeks ago using this build. This is my 3rd ? walk through of the whole game and it NEVER gets boring for me.. So far I think assassin is really outshines all the other classes out there.

Why is assassin the best?

I really like this kit's description before u start the game...under the kit "assassin" it says "a person who excells in cold efficient murder"...

But I'm going off track here...so anyway...

basically just throw on all u'r +thaco items u can find onto him...pump move silently, assassination, walk silently ( i pumped mine to obscene levels ), and a bit of hide in shadows, just enough points to set traps

BACKSTAB ! BACKSTAB ! BACKSTAB ! BACKSTAB ! assassinate, BACKSTAB ! BACKSTAB ! POISON !

I just can't have enough satisfaction of my assassin doing 4+ backstabs in a row on different enemies and letting poison doing its work... Its the only char who can do the most dmg to a SINGLE enemy unit within the shortest period of time in the game...one less enemy = less dmg done to you....

Assassin is the master of ambush as well...throw on a cloak of non - dectection and most enemies out there won't be able to see you ...they cast true sight and still scratch their heads and butts wondering where the world i've been... then assassin sets traps, move's out of range of sight of enemies, edwin walks in ----> fireballs away ...like 3 using squencer....enemies attacks edwin hence walk into traps...assassin moves ultra quick into backstabbing position thanks to his boots of speed...korgan and minsc comes roaring in...i backstab, and i think u can kinda picture the rest...I completed TOB and shadows of amn in the quickest possible game time using assassin partly because none of my characters never ever gets hurt like ultra bad...Most battles are just a breeze... (i completed the game on 4/5 difficulty )

Did I mention that assassin with cloak of non detection makes a good scout?

Packs of monsters ? no problemos....i have around 30 invis potions? thanks to jan's pickpocketing and rogues make potions

yeah, if u'r favourite animation is samurai x you will defintely enjoy playing this class....if u enjoy walking into battles without PLANNING and with all u'r chars walking away severly bruised and badly hurt... then this is not a class 4 u to play...

Assassin is never a fighter remember that...its a high dmg output char who is fast, stealthy and can engage in battle at HIS WILL...can't handle? just run away ...simple as that

last quick note : boots of haste is a must on assassin...it allows him to get into backstabbing position quickly and allows him to do the most backstabs when assination is activated...and also ALWAYS go single handed...never dual wield on a pure assassin...u need the thaco using single handed

And always have 30+ invis poitions with u ^^ Not hard since they drop all over the place and jan can steal from a lot of those potion selling vendors out there.... ( i seem to remember that the lady in the btm left hand corner of the bridge district sells tons )

The answer to that is quite simple really, There is none. No class is the best it's all what your play style is and how you use the class. Personally though I prefer a berserker(all the great bonuses from enrage) or kensai/theif(the offensive godliness plus the ability to wear armor). I personally don't prefer spellcasters because they're just to passive for me.

Zofz, the Assassin is not the only class that can do that much damage in a short amount of time. A Mage/Thief with Black Blade of Disaster + Backstab (assassination) can do over 150 damage per hit. After which the MT can easily act as a mop up crew with Black Blade of Disaster (~30 damage per hit) and sunfire, comet, abi dalzims, flesh to stone, etc. Besides, with the thief class you can utilize Elven Chain Mail and (with use item) some really nice shields. Never better is a mage with -10 AC.

Also- Shadows Door will alleviate the need for 30 invisibility potions () and Tenser's Transformation (+ thief specific abilities) will put the thief up to par with fighters.

i agree with rage, it honestly does depend on what you as a player want to do with your characters.

for example, i use lots of different strategies. if i'm using my dwarven berserker, i send him in to tank while my clerics stand at the back using chant, bless and defensive harmony.

if i'm using my theif/mage i start with tenser's transformation, pop into invisibility (using staff of magi), backstab and then pile in with the rest of my fighters.

solo mage - fireball, monster summoning to mop up.

monk - high levels has bloody amazing magic resistance, go straight for the mage

in short, it really doesn't matter what character nyou play as, as long as its suited to your style. even druids can be powerful when played right.
