that mission made me never forget that game. thats the mission that made me go out and buy every other armored core game. but the sad thing is... i dont own the original AC... because i rented it twice and beat the game... i should go find it.

yeah, those bioweapons are freaky, man. remember the other one where you go into this lab and you have to kill all the ants thing? that was freaky too.

i dont think i ever killed the ant things... they were wierd looking,... which probably made my AC malfunction... but i couldnt beat them because i wasnt smart and my laser blade went over them,... i remember them being small. for that mission i had no strategy so i just skipped that one.

actually, you don't have to kill the small ones, if you are talking about the one mission in the underground nest. I sometimes would just fly over them and get on my way to the queen. that's the only thing you need to destroy. and before you do that, check around and get the bonus part on the ground.

but yes, the small ones are annoying if you don't shoot them. chain gun works good, plasma cannon works good on them too.

There are so many of them but i killed all of them before i moved on

you sound totally like my best friend. he is the same way whenever he played Armored Core or other action games.

but for me, I would try to get through the level as quick as I could. but the second time, I definitely would kill everything before ending a level.

On AC3 you get more money for the more you kill so i make sure no one is alive but me at the end of the level. It does mean i struggle a bit on the missions where there is a time limit tho

Yeah it does take your money if you accidently (on purpose ) destroy some of the trucks or cars which are around

I use high energy weapons so you dont have to pay ammo but is bit of a bastard when you try to use your boosters to evade or pursue some enemies after a fight as you have no energy left

yup, energy weapon is a bitch to use if you have to fly a lot. now, all energy weapons in PS1's AC series have limited ammo. is it the same in AC2/3 on PS2? it just didn't make sense that energy weapons have limited numbers of ammo. I mean as long as they can be recharge fast, it should be unlimited.

I usually would equip my core with a chain gun or missile launcher just in case energy running low.

unfortunatly it still has ammo which i dont think makes sense either. the explosions look amazing tho on some of the powerful energy weapons. also it causes a lot of heat so your enemies ACs can overheat

wow, overheating huh! does that do anything to the enemies if they are overheating? would that slow them down somehow?

it doesnt slow them down.. just eats away at their AP. AC3 is great. energy weapons dont have much heat now... but shell weapons do! like grenade launchers and missiles.
