more repair cost or use MTS as shields... very interesting. I guess you will have to know exactly when to hire a sidekick because you do need money to buy parts and weapons too. hiring those guys too many times may delay your chance to buy better weapons and better parts. so many choices, so little time.

nah, you don't have a shield to use in the AC series for PS1. it sounds like a great idea though. I guess you can't use the energy shield with other energy weapons.

but can you equip a shield with a blade since they are equiped at the same arm?

there is also a part in AC for Disabling/anti missile Lock on. but it didn't seem to work all the time.

I bet you the hover legs costs a lot of energy, like the 4-leg type, right? personally, I like 2-legs, and reverse joints. tanks are just too slow.

hmm that sounds like that flannel thingy in Gundam Battle Assault series, u know, those little flying things that would shoot at your enemies. but in Gundam, they are not all that great. they are pretty weak.

He actually hits you twice after you fight so many enemies to get to him that you need to reload to get through him. That, and the tower you have to fly up means you have to pay carefull attention how you tool up for it.
I'm ashamed to say that I cheated somewhat to beat this level. I would do it straight up if it wasn't so stacked against you, but it's damn near impossible because of all the enemies. The best way to do it, though cheap is to stand in the corridors, and gun them down with heavy weaponry instead of going out where you can get cluster *bleep*ed by 9ball's minions. With those kind of tactics, all you realy need is walking artillery.
I went with the Revese Joint legs, chain gun(9ball hates the chaingun) and plasma cannon plus the 1000 rnd machinegun, and a sword. At first, you don't have to worry about ammo, and armor concervation, so just kneel at the door, get out the plasma cannon, and open it. Melt as many enemies as possible before your charge goes down, then switch to the chaingun. Keep up the withering fire untill your charge goes back up, then switch back to plasma.
Once you get through the first two rooms, and see the cinematic scene, you'll be standing in front of the door again. This time, you have to worry about ammo, so shoot the shit out of the grasshoppers with the machinegun. Next, stand in each corner, and plazmize all the turrets you can reach. That done, start your way up, and be prepared for some arial combat.
You'll run into some more of those grasshoppers, so machinegun them, and use the sword to take out turrets when you land on cubes. Aim for the verticly mobile ones, because you can keep moving up while you recharge. I try to stay around the middle towards the end because the bridge is so much easier to land on.
By this time, you will hopefully have most of your armor left, all of your chaingun ammo, and maybe some MG rounds. That's why I went with the 1000 rnd one, it's lighter, lower drain, and doesn't run out easy. Run around the vents, or whatever, and kill the enemies in there with sword, and MG. When you get to the room over the stack where 9ball is, don't drop down. Back up to a comfortable range, stand to the side with your chaingun towards the middle, and kneel.
You'll be in for a long wait, but it's worth it to have a nice shooting gallery to riddle him with. He might fly past you, but it's unlikely he'll survive long enough if you can keep him in your sights. He really cannot stand up to the changun, so you will end up using less than half of it.
That's good, because after you drop down, you'll come to another vent, and at the end, another stack. Sure enough, there's another nineball as well, so you're in for another wait. This one gets pretty intermidable, but it's better than duking it out with him up there. Use the same safe tactic, and he should fall as easilly as the first. That done, you've got an easy fly up to destroy the computer, and win the game.
This isn't one of the last missions, it is the last to win the game. After that, you unlock all of them so you can go back, and do the missions you missed. Do that, and get all the parts, and it unlocks the overweight so you can launch illegal cores. Have fun!
