Considering it for a Christmas present? Dude, its a *bleep*ing console! It's not like you're paying for it, so why not just go ahead and get it? There's enough games on the Xbox to suit even the most picky gamer.

Before you respond, I know it has some great games on it that I'd most certainly like, it's not really to do with the quality of the games on it, just that there are other things I want more than another console.

Well I have all 3 consoles and a PC and Mac!

Its great to be able to get any game without worrying about it being in "the other system" anymore. So then it will be all about which version of the game is better or if it's just for 1 system.

This is how I get my games.
GameCube version - Exclusives only. I don't get games for this system if it's avalable for the others. Only exception is if by some chance the GameCube version has more features than the other two versions.
PS2 version - If it's an exclusive. If it has more features, if it's a fighting game. If its multiplayer is 1-2 player or doesn't come with any other features on the XBOX.
seXBOX version - If it's exclusive. If it has Custom soundtracks. If it has 3 or more players in regular multiplayer. If the PS2 version don't have more features.

I'm very picky.

Forget it I'm stickin with the car radio. Well the next GC game I'm probably getting is Pokemon Colosseum.

Most of my buys are planned on XBOX and PS2 versions though.

Hell yeah! Since you're an RPG fan(right?), I doubt you'd like to miss out on Fable. There are other great games on the Xbox, too. Ninja Gaiden ring a bell? Oh, and you've seen the makeover GTA3 and Vice City had when they were ported to the Xbox.)

Sorry, I absolutely can't stand RPGs. I was just hoping that maybe KOTOR was categorized as an RPG because it was similar to Jedi Outcast's character growth system, and that at heart, it was pretty much the same as JO.

Ok, so you don't like RPG's? Then you'll love the Xbox, since it's selection of RPG titles is lacking... at the moment.

Hey nothing worng with a little pursuasion. All you need is XBOX and you have all the systems. And PC.

I can't wait to have all 3. I get a new computer this chrismas, plus a GC. So I'll have all 3. I'm going to love not being left out on exclusives. But, by January if there is no big reason why to keep a PS2. Then I'm getting rid of it.

MGS3 isnt coming out til late 04 i thought. And KH2 doesnt even have a release date slated...
