is there a way to split up toss up into genres? the majority of tossup threads here are about rpgs and platformers. Personally I hate sifting through lists of those bad games before reading about the good ones. i.e. (toss up)makes me feel like I'm sifting through huge a garbage bin for a piece of gold with all that rpg stuff in there This message was edited by daveatstupid on Jun 30 2003.

re: Toss-Up Part III

I need a good "cutsy" fun game for the ps2(mainly for my wife who loves "the sims" & "simcity4" for pc).
So what do you think about these games? Little Nemo? Monsters, Inc.? My Street Metropolismania
or anything else that's preferably 2 player but it doesn't have to be.
I really want something more original than some cookie-cutter platformers(i.e. black&crackster, wackit&spank, etc...)
I really want something as original like animal crossing which she expresses lots of interest in

I played the demo for My street and it wasn't good. Could the full version be a lot better?

if you want a game were the goal is to collect floating gems and coins and break boxes to find items & power-ups, those are great games.
personally I've been tired of that b.s. since the NES was top of the line

re: Toss-Up Part III

I'm looking for a new game were you run around in a generic 3d environment doing menial tasks to eventually same some town or maybe even a princess. I'd also prefer to be able to jump on top of enemy heads to dispose of them(jump kicks would be ok too), and if there were boxes to break(or treasure chests to open) that had game lives and medicore power ups to get, and MAYBE run around collecting coins or gemstones that were floating in midair, and hopefully even have some keys to find to open locked doors(maybe to open a new level or section of the map) Are there any(or have there ever been) games like this?

re: Toss-Up Part III

so my little 10yearold bro's birthday is coming up on oct.22 and I'm looking for a game he'd enjoy, he said he wanted wayofthesamuri cause he rented it once, but he doesn't realize their's no replayability after 2-3 times through the game anyone got any ideas? he generally likes games like whackit&spank and kingdomfarts(but not rpgs any more complicated though).
any game coming out between now and then that a 10year would like(i'm gettin hit&run & freedomfighters so he'll be able to borrow those from me)
