anyone here still not have a PS3?

i couldn't afford the PS3 when it first came out so I've just been playing my PS2 ever since, oblivious to the PS3's existence lol lol ps2 forum not responding out of jealousy of the ps3 owners? haha it's neutral [;

It's funny that this thread was made here now because I ordered my ps3 last weekend and it should arrive tomorrow (so they said). I'm not a hardcore gamer, but since ps3 is more than 3 times cheaper now than at launch 5 or 6 years ago I decided to get one now. I'm looking forward to playing the Uncharted games.. and that's about it LOL but seriously, my gaming pc is more than 2.5 years old now and some of the new heavy games don't run so well anymore, so I will switch from pc to ps3 for the newer games.

but for my birthday [june 18] IM FINNALY getting one along with fifa13 [ coz the ps3 is a lot cheaper these days]

No PS3 for me. No plans to get one, either.
Whenever I start thinking about it I remember all the reasons not to.

I have no PS3, but I still have a PS2 and some of the games for it are brilliant.

Passing on PS3.
I prefer games that aren't bloody like MW3, but also hate games that are based around sports.
So no, not getting it any time soon. Especially since Grandia II on PS2 is good enough for me right now. :/

I have some fairly good games for ps2 and i have no plans to get a ps3, i dont see the point

After first hours of using ps3 I can say that I'm disappointed - I didn't expect the graphics to be THAT weak, it's like level of pc games of early 2000s plus low resolutions ugh. I'm not a graphics person actually and I love ps2, but just saying - ps3 is the current gen and I expected a lot more in graphics department, although I've only tried 2 games so far - Uncharted 2 and SSX.
And another complaint - load times! So fricking long in Uncharted 2, simply unacceptable.
So for now I regret getting a ps3 but hopefully towards the end of this gen we gonna get some truly great games like it was with ps2. But for now (and forever) - rock on ps2 LOL

I purchased a PS3 a few months ago for the PS3 exclusive games like Gran Turismo, God of War, MGS4, Uncharted etc. I agree with zajazd that the load times on some games are ridiculous and it crashes on occasions. I own both the 360 and PS3 and I can say that the 360 is the better console hands down, I have had my 360 for about 3 years now and I can only recall it crashing once.
All in all, I see the PS3 as a pretty weak follow up to the PS2 which was an incredible console for it's time.
