Decent PS2 games?

I'd most certainly recommend Dragon Quest 8. It's about as traditional as it gets (almost to the point of being archaic sometimes), but it's still a fantastic game to go through time and time again.

Final Fantasy X isn't exactly my favorite RPG, but a lot of people like it, so it's also worth trying out. On the flipside, Shadow Hearts is an RPG I *bleep*ing love, but it isn't the easiest to get into.

Speaking of hearts, Kingdom Hearts is one well worth going through.

In keeping with RPGs that aren't turn based, definitely get Tales Of The Abyss... unless you live in Europe or Australia - in which case, you have to buy some disc that lets PAL PS2s play NTSC games.

Back to more turn based RPGs - Wild Arms 3, 4 and 5 are RPGs worth investing some time into. I haven't played them in a while though, so I can't, for the life of me, think of why I'm recommending them other than the fact that I thought they were good RPGs.

If you want something more strategical, go for Disgaea 1 and 2, Arc The Lad: Twilight Of The Spirits and La Pucelle: Tactics. If you like your RPGs with a side helping of silliness, yeah, Disgaea will be your new best friend.

There are a few others, but good luck finding them - Okage: Shadow King, Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse, Odin Sphere, Persona 3 and 4, and Rogue Galaxy.
