I do not think Ryo was weak compared to her. but even if he was it musn,t happened because Ryo is the Hero of the game, and the HEROS musn,t be defeated that easy.. it is some kinde of strang thing
another thing that i was not need her help in the fighting
wiht (DOU NIO) the fat man I was doing great when i was fighting him? and i was not need her help in many fights when i always be injoing the fight in Shenmue 2 she appear like the *hit damher.

SEGA-AM2 PPPPPlease do NOT put somthing like that in Shenmue 3

If all heros overcame all obstacles so easily, then they wouldn't really be heros now would they

Xiuying is a master.....and Ryo is still in need of training....but i'll keep this thread open a while longer and see if there are any INTELLIGENT inputs on the topic rather than just the rants i'm seeing thus far

As I was aware (haven't played Shenmue 2 since 03' but getting back into it) Ryo hasn't finished his training in the martial arts. Lishao Tao is alot more experienced and can over some Ryo easily. Its not a matter of good guys or bad guys, this game is based on real life. I mean Lishao Tao has been training alot longer then Ryo and has more experiences. It would be the same as if it were in real life. Ryo was not meant to be the strongest guy in the world, but was meant to be a Martial artist on the path to revenge. And I would not really call Ryo a Hero of the game.

Lishao Tao is probably not as physically strong as Ryo (Doubt she could bench as much as him) but her martial arts knowledge is more in depth. That is why she won, though if they had an arm wrestling match, Ryo would of probably won easilly.

Its not a question of strength, while Ryo might be physically stronger than Xiuying she can easily outmatch him. This is because:

1. Ryo is full of rage and in need of finding his calm, thus (in Xiuyings eyes) Ryo uses too much force in his moves.

2. Xiuying is a goddamn master nearly as good as Lan Di (Think how easy it was for Lan Di to dispatch Iwao Hazuki). These guys are in a different league to standard martial artists.

You were going to break your disc over this? Not all stories where "the hero never loses" make a good story you know.
