	Log in to remove this advertisement Recently, I ventured out to see Donald Takiama surf shop Hawiaiin Pro Designs. I have been wanting to get a board shaped by Donald for a long time being that I collect and ride boards shaped by pros/ledgends. I thought Donald was the man. When I got to the shop I was greeted by a kid who said "well I know Donald shaped those boards himself, the rest he just signed" With closer inspection I noticed the price of the DT boards were $2500 each. YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING! I realize Donald is a legend, BUT $2500 each it was just a slap in the face. I have boards shaped by Robert August and Lance Carson by hand that were all under $1000 each totally custom. Well, as I began MUMBLING TO MYSELF about the price I got in touch with a friend who was a shaper who explained to me that Danald had sold out to a Japanes company who was setting the price's in the shop. I was pissed about more than the price, what do you think?
