quote Desert_Motel_DreamsNo you miss understand. The PC version is fine, plays as well as the system you play it on, which in my case is full settings with an excellent 60fps+ all the way. The ps3 version is a very poorly made port by EA and the game suffers for it!

quote Desert_Motel_DreamsIts just fps drop like playing on a low spec pc really, you just jump forward a few paces, skips a few frames, mainly after quick saving, and alot during the outside sequences in EP2.

re: Half-Life General Discussion |
quote Desert_Motel_DreamsApparently the problems aren't that bad in HL2, most apparent in EP2, they can be overcome as my cousin tested, (in HL2 only so far) by pausing the game for 10secs or so after quick saving. Some guy on the Steam forums voiced his displeasure and even got a reply from Valve! Oh some good news, Valve have finally stepped in after all this bad press! http://kotaku.com/339829/got-problems-with-the-orange-box-on-ps3-valve-wants-to-know This message was edited by TheComedyGuy on Jan 03 2008.

re: Half-Life General Discussion |
quote Desert_Motel_DreamsRight OK. A patch is a small piece of software designed to update or fix problems with a computer program. This includes fixing bugs, replacing graphics and improving the usability or performance. The PC version of the Half-Life games have different problems and different patches to fix them. I doubt EA will remake the game bug free, more along the lines of if anyone bought the PS3 version, you'd be prompted to download a patch when you first played. This patch news is very new so don't get yours hopes of a patch to correct the problems anytime soon.
