So, I played Mario Party 8 and realized how horrible it seemed (to me, don't think I'm trying to put the game down. I don't want to be hated D:)
I'm now in the process of buying 2 and 3 for the n64 so I have some good party games. Anyway, I realized that there are 8, not including the DS one, and wasn't there a gba one too? Not sure :L. Anyway, THERE ARE A LOT. Which do you think were the most fun? Why? I've played them all, and I can remember not really caring for 7 and 8. 1 was okay for a start, I like it, but it really wasn't that fleshed out. I know 2 was amazing, and I remember 3 being pretty good. 4/5/6 I remember as being okay, maybe going downhill? The good thing about 6/7 was the mic, the mic minigames were awesome, if a bit unorthodox and hard to control. I can't really distinguish them and don't have them to play anymore, or I'd be more detailed with it :L. Mario Party 6 is my favorite. I like it's selection of mini-games. I prefer it even over the Nintendo 64 games, which many people seem to consider the best Mario Party games. And I don't think Mario Party 8 is that bad.

Really, I've only played 4, and some of 7 or 8. I didn't really like 4 that much, but my parents got it for me as a gift when I was younger, and I felt like I had to play it back then.
I played 7 at my friend's house. That was on the Wii, correct? If so, it was okay. If not, I don't even remember what console it was on ;-; -------------------  The sun is born from a holy land of purity...as with the world. | |

I never played the GBA one and barely played number 6. I have no opinion on them so they stay out of this for me.
 Anyways for the longest time, Mario Party 3 was my favorite. I loved the dueling in the game and loved the mini games, in fact I still do, I find it to be an amazing game but it ranks as my second favorite Mario Party now. 9.5/10 Before the summer me and my friend decided to play the first Mario Party. We cleared the data on it and started all over again. It took us two months to beat it completely(work and school johns) but playing that game brought back a lot of memories of my childhood and I was in love with this game the whole time. I mean back when it first came out on Luigi's Boiler Room I got 7 stars from Toad in just one game! What did I do with my friend? The SAME thing. Luigi both times and Toad 7 times, I loved it. This game was truly a masterpiece and I still play it because it's just awesome. 10/10 Mario Party 2 is another amazing game. But falls short of being my 2nd. The costumes was an amazing idea and the mini games and the maps were great. Another game that I spent many hours on as a kid and it's unfortunate that my sister lost the game and to get a new one, it costs like $60. The Pirate level was always my favorite. I watched a playthrough of it recently and it made me want the game. 9/10 Anybody who knows me, knows I don't like Mario Party 4. The maps are horrible and the mini games are not so great. Was entertaining for one party. No offense to anyone who loves this game but I find it to be the worst Mario Party game. 3/10 Mario Party 5 did better, spent a lot of time on it with my friend. Don't remember much of it but it's at least a 6/10. Mario Party 7 I owe and I find it alright. I don't think I've played it much even though I have had it for years....might have to change that soon so I can give it a better review. 5/10 for now until I give it a better playthrough. Mario Party 8 felt really weird for me. The controls were very different but I could get use to it pretty easily. I didn't like the game modes but some of the levels were fun to play on and the items were decent. I love using Mario though...dunno why. 6/10 Mario Party DS was a few day playthrough for me. Wow, I'm the opposite with Kuhn and Insanity Prevails. Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 4 are my two least favorite Mario Party games.

Hmm......a topic about the best Mario Party again?
Anyway, my favorite N64 Mario Party is 2 and my favorite Gamecube MP game is 6. I have to give the slight edge to 2. Both games were excellent though. I would pick MP 5 if the maps were better. I'm also in the minority when I say Mario Party 1 is my least favorite. It was actually my first Mario Party game too. Then I played the other ones and I thought they were all better. I even like Mario Party 4 more.

I swear Waluigi's Island was cool in MP3. The star with the mustache and the Toad with a dice block for a head were weird though.
MP7, was a bit confusing. I honestly thought Nintendo gave all out on it though. MP1 I just hated. It was just, boring. MP8 was a bit of fun, but got boring after you beat Bowser twice. A little off topic,but is Mario party any good? I have a DS,should I consider buying the most recent Mario Party? Would it be worth buying over Mario Cart,or Diddy Kong racing?

Mario Party: 8/10. The mini-games were fun and the maps were good. I kind of miss this game, I don't have it anymore.
Mario Party 2: 5/10. Yeah it's boring. The mini-games were not all that great and the maps weren't either. I hate those almost impossible games like Abandon Ship and Sneak 'n' Snore. Mario Party 3: 8/10. Pretty good. The maps were alright and the mini-games were one of the best. I enjoyed those fun games like Snowball Summit and Toadstool Titan. I love Daisy's character design better than her Gamecube and Wii designs. Mario Party 4: 6/10. Kind of boring. The Story Mode took way too much time to beat. Mario Party 5: 7/10. The Story Mode was kind of annoying because of the luck duel mini-games like Get a Rope and Head Waiter. The maps were wonderful and the mini-games were pretty fun. Mario Party 6: 10/10. My favorite of the series. The mini-games are fantastic, the maps are great, I love the new orbs. Mario Party 7: 5/10. Yeah not so great. Team Battle is horrible since both players in a team move in one turn unlike the other Mario Parties. The maps are also horrible and the only one I like is Windmillville. Mario Party 8: 7/10. The mini-games were awesome but the Star Battle Arena was SO annoying. To me Mario Party 6 is the best. -------------------  Brawl Card Credit to Miss Razz! Avatar Credit to Military G!
