So any plans of doing the Birthday thread? I'm gonna ask a Super about the complete purpose of the General forums. Thought it's most likely to discuss the series as a whole. But getting the community to discuss a few other things may help activity.

Also I plan to redo the rule thread. I'm gonna add a Purpose of the forum to the rules. Update the Thread Index once more and possibly search for more links to add to the Mario Links.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Well, it was Lykerok's suggestion, so he can make it if he wants to. I think clarification on what this forum is would be great; if it can be somewhat similar to social forums, then I can see this being a great little community. However, if we keep to the strict "every thread discusses Mario" way of doing things, then I fear we will run out of things to say soon enough. We're already struggling somewhat, making threads that are loosely based upon Mario.

That sounds good Gotenks. I don't think any of us would forget to discuss Mario in a Mario Bros. forum.

Thoughts on the changes to the header?

Got another game thread made from a guest.

Think we could include some sort of text in the posting screens saying "If you are making a game thread, check with our mod. If you don't, we will hunt you down and use our fire flowers!"

That might help teach the guests that the thread has to be approved first.

I'd do it Gotenks, but I'm bogged with school work, and unfortunately I'm running at 56k at the moment. sry <3

I have an idea

What if we have a character of the Month (per se), and I know we already have those character profiles things but this is slightly different. Each month we shall put up a thread with a list of 5 characters from any Mario game, we then leave it for a week to see who people want to have as the character of the month. After that week the votes will the tallied and the winner will be placed somewhere in the forum. (I would say header but I don't think they're would be enough room, although just the Words; Character of the Month: ???). What do ya think?

Do you mean something along the lines of what happens with the Music Forum header? But where would the discussion be?

I think the way it's going now is working alright. Gotenks knows a lot about the Mario series, and he can generally pick a good character to put up. I think simply posting an idea for a character or game of the month in this thread would probably be enough to get it made.

gotenks992, I have some more free time over the coming weeks, so if you want I could do the character and you could do the game?
