ok ive been playing for quite a while now. I dont have huge armies but thats because ive spent the last 130 turns building up my citys into financial kingdoms. I havent expanded very far and only have the first two areas that you are given when you are england "Rennes, Caen" im constantly attacked by france, denmark and now spain (its driving me mad and making me a little bored). Denmark have just come to me and asked us to become a vassal?? what are the benefits of this and can i get out of it at a later time??

Being a vassle means that you obey their leader as your leader. It is not a good thing and I have never done it in the game myself so don't exactly what happens. But basically don't do it as you'll either lose alot of power or you will lose your faction. -------------------

If you have spent the first 130 turns just upgrading your two cities you have seriously done something wrong. The key of the game is to expand your empire. So you should build the necessary upgrades whilst also building an army to besiege any enemy settlement. When you capture a settlement you also acquire more gold to build new upgrades for your cities and castles. In other words, building an army isn't only useful for eliminating an enemy or expanding your empire, but also to fill your coffers. ------------------- ![]()
