Lower body fat.

This year I have made huge strides with my lifting regimen. I am a beast now and gained a lot of weight, most of it muscle by drinking a gallon a milk a day and eating protein.

However along with this weight I have also gained a decent amount of fat now... I'm not fat, it's just I want to lower my body fat % while simultaneously not losing progress of my strength.

My story is similar in results but a bit different.

I used to be a regular in the gym and here in the health and fitness forum because I played varsity basketball and baseball in high school, but during my Junior year I *bleep*ed my lower back up so bad I couldn't go to the gym or do much of anything because it would flare up.

I decided to sit my senior year of high school and not do anything active, although I would occasionally go to the gym and see if my back healed, which it didn't.

Finally my freshman year of college comes and I start lifting, just not maxing out, basically just basic basic workouts, what you would expect a granny to do. Eventually working out my back enough helped it and I started seriously lifting in January and haven't looked back since.

But yeah, I definitely have gained a bit of fat in my abdomen area although I work out my abs and they are much stronger than when I first started. I just want to basically do what you want to do, lose body fat while simultaenously not losing my strength and progress.

I'd cut the milk out completely. Not a fan of dairy products at all. It's just sugar and fat, anyways, and it bloats people in my opinion.

Start doing fasted morning slow-steady cardio 2-3 times a week. If you are afraid of losing mass, let your new muscle solidify a little while longer by feeding yourself good and continuing on your bulk diet.

Thanks for the tips I've actually started cutting a month ago and lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks going on a raw diet (as a challenge with some friends) and at the same time increasing my training loads. I know I lost muscle there but its my first time cutting and didn't really know how to do it lol.

Will put up most recent video later like I promised, I'll let you know. For now, I loss all access to a gym coming home from college and is currently trying to use my bodyweight to maintain what I have

I can deadlift a decent amount, the most I've done is 495 for 5-6 reps (with straps). Without straps, I can't even get close to half of that, which is why I've been ditching going heavy for lighter weights and get my grip strength up.

(i) eat more
(ii) deload your lifts
(iii) pay attention to your form
