Vomiting Bile |
|
Hey guys, this morning I woke up around 6am with lower abdominal pain, it wasn't too bad most of the time but it spiked every now and then and became really uncomfortable. After a few restless hours I got up and drove home from my girlfriends, and once I got home I proceeded to throw up some nasty yellow bile. The same thing happened to me maybe 6/7 months ago, so they are fairly isolated incidents, I just wondered if anyone might know what is causing it?
I'm no stranger to abdominal pain and stomach cramps as I have Crohn's Disease so I'm pretty sure I wasn't just being a wimp, as I've had much worse, however this has got me a little concerned as none of my Crohn's symptoms are active, and other than this mornings episode, I'm in the best health I have been for probably almost 3 years. As I understand it, people usually only start throwing up bile once they've emptied themselves of everything else when they have a bacterial or viral infection, which is why I'm a little confused as nothing else came up after a few minutes of retching, just a few mouthfuls of bile. So yeah, any advice or information anyone could provide would be appreciated, as I'm not sure whether it's worth trying to get an appointment with my gastro doc or the specialist nurse to talk to them about it. ------------------- ![]() | |

If you have Crohn's Disease and then you are having problems with cramps and throwing up you should definitely see a doctor, I wouldn't even chance not going.

Vomiting bile is normal when there's nothing else to vomit up, yes. I would for sure get an appointment at least with a GP if you can't get into a gastroenterologist or the nurse specialist easily though. With the Crohn's better safe than sorry.
