If you are using the Sorcerer one of the easiest ways to go about it is by having a staff that contains Apocolypse charges, this spell packs a really good punch on Diablo and make sure that you have your levels built and you have a mana sheild going before you go in to fight him and you are stocked with full potions in your belt.

If you are using either the Warrior or the Female Warrior type person you jsut need a weapon that attacks quickly and knocks back and packs a HUGE punch, i don't really know too well about these two charactors because i never really played with them too much, but if you need any help i am sure that i can find easier ways to do it.

Or, you can defeat Diablo using YOUR MOM! LOL.

Or play as Barbarain, and just get the Armour of Valour, and a sword that you can get of Wirt (ha ha he dies in the second game) Basically it took me ages and allot of money but I think the sword (or axe can't remember been years since I have played it) I finished the game was from Wirt, and well Diablo was dead in minutes. Ever since I got Diablo 2, I have never looked back.

All I go on is Diablo 2 but Diablo is still a good game.

As for staffs of apocalypse you can buy them from that witch (cant remember what shes called) but only on high lvls;)

I finished level 8 with freaking blade
it only has 3-8 damage and it's really tough to fight green monsters that surround you
I just hit any monster that appear and make it run away so I only have to deal with one or two monsters at same time
in level 4 there were the red monsters behind door
I shot them with short bow ( 1 - 3 damage )
I shot each one of them like 100 times to kill
not such easy ways but you could if you want to save charges of staff

you do know killing diablo is easy in d1 but DII hes pretty hard ass even for a high lvl hes hard to hit, dont do much dmg to you but he does tend to be hard to hit witch is wierd, but get a bastard sword and some nice ass armor and tons of life with the barbarian and you can kill diablo, iv beaten both diablos to the point there endless, so basicly hacking items is the only FUN i get, unless dII then i used to build chars up and kill others...AKA duel...but still its a wee bit stupid to play fair in d1 when no one else does

I used Revive on the gargoylish minions (with the necro or course), also using fire golem, and stood back and used bonespear and attract on diablo.

Well, u killed Diablo this way in which difficulty?

I killed him in normal using lots of town portals, my ol' Iron Golem (the ground was full of swords), a poisoned dagger and my bone Spear. I was 27. And alone.

Of course, in the other difficulties I used Bone Spirit.
