Bosses and how to deal with them 2.0
|
There are a few bosses I want to explain to the new players of Legend of Legaia. Especially the ones who are having trouble with the bosses. (Thats why I made this thread XD)

First boss to go down is of course the last boss in the game Cort!
Before the battle:
> Make sure all of them have thier Ra-Seru stuff. > Make sure your party is atleast Lv. 50. (It can be lower but I'm just suggesting lv. 50 just to make the battle this much easier. ) > Get plenty of healing berries! > Write down on a piece of paper the combinations for the whole party's Miracle Arts, and Super Arts. Also Make sure that they all have thier Hyper arts. Which they should by this point.
The Big Fight:
First off have the whole party to use spirit (If needed) This will raise thier defense against any attack increase, it also raises thier chance to block attacks. Cort does a lot of damage in one attack.
This battle is pretty self - explanitory. Just start mowing him down with Miracle arts and Super Arts. When his health starts to get low he'll begin using doomsday.
O, I almost forgot he does this move (Which I forgot the name to) Which can possibly kill Noa. If this happens use a Phoenix on whoever is down and use Spoon. The good thing is that he charges before he does that super fantastic move. Once he charges use SPIRIT! That will cut the damage in half.
If you have any of the spells use them they will cause humungo damage. As I said before when his health gets really low he starts to use doomsday. Just use spirit every three or four turns.
When Cort is finally out of health he will fall down (Which in normal boss fights signals the low HP mark.) Then you pretty much win the game.

If any of you have any strategies to submit for bosses ( only for Legend of Legaia) please put them up on this thread.

Boss: Carubran
|
This is a very odd boss indeed. A lion with one head? This is the complete opposite of the mythical creature Cerberus.
Before the Fight:
>SAVE THE GAME! I cannot stress this enough people. >Buy some Healing leaves etc. The basic neccesties for a boss fight. >Get some good (when I say good I mean REALLY good)weapons >Have fun!
The Big Fight:
Begin the fight using some of your basic moves like Summersault, lizard tail etc. If you have a point card (Which you should have gotten from Rim Elm by now) USE IT. If you are a good shopper the points in the point card will rack up quick.
Be careful though, Cerberus has a few moves up his sleeve. He uses fireball. That move hits everyone. So heal when necsarry. (Sorry cant spell that good.) If you have any seru monsters in your Ra-Seru, use them as much as you can.
Cerberus is a pretty easy boss (Hold the phone...he's REALLY EASY) if you are well prepared. You should win this fight in no time.

Boss: Beserker
|
Next to go down is Beserker!
Before the fight:
>SAVE THE GAME >Stock up on plenty of healing items. >Stock up on Medicine. >Aquire Nighto for your strongest character that is garunteed to survive the battle.
The Big Fight:
Start the battle by having all the characters, except the one that has Nighto, to use their hyper arts on beserker. Also, start using Nighto, it will either confuse beserker or just plain out kill him!
If Nighto confuses beserker, use this chance to heal and revive (If needed) Use medicine on any character that has the "Rot" status. As you should have learned during the first part of the battle, rot can either affect all your body parts or just one of them. If this status affects one of your body parts you wont be able to use that limb to attack the enemy.
For example, Say Vahn attempts to use tornado flame, but Beserker goes first. He uses (Forgot the name to the attack) the rot status affects his right arm. Now Vahn will attack. He will hit beseker twice. (Left, Left)
Once you think you're ready to start attacking again, continue attacking with your other two characters and continue using Nighto. (Remember keep the character that has Nighto ALIVE!) After maybe a few tries Nighto should work its magic.
Now you have another boss under your belt.

Because Gala has the most MP and is almost useless as a fighter throughout most of the game, have him obsorb Orb and use it after almost every turn in a boss fight. Chances are a boss fight won't kill one of your members in one turn and Orb won't deplete your MP throughout the battle.

I used coin toss on juggernaught and the miracle arts.
His instant death attacks did get annoying sometimes but it wouldn't be a super boss fight without it would it?
As for songi on the final bout with him before you fight him:
Remember that he is harder than the other versions and his attacks are lethal like that dark knight guy who is transformed with the seru.He does some pretty serious damage and can kill you so be prepared to heal when needed and possible rez any character.
I found having at least some levels that he didn't give me much problems.
Dealing with that big enemy that explodes in the area with the frozen ra tree.
After you kill those 3 guys and they jump into the hole with the monster in there you have a big boss fight.
I hate this guy cause you have to dish out as much damage in little time possible and you got little time.I use coin toss and regular moves. As they say in guides, you cannot spare any turns and must rely on your regular attacks and whatever arts you can do.
I've beaten every boss several times so you can count on my information being a bit helpfull.

I liked noa, during most of the game gala really has some serious damage but during the end noa or whatever her name was has more room for combos and have the biggest combo attacks. Gala:The strongest with the most health and the lowest bar. Noa:The longest bar for combos and weakest attacks. Vaughn:In between noa and gala.
