Okay so I tried to get three Crimson Books the legit way, by stealing them from Pueras, only to find out you never actually steal from them I leveled up from 37 to 42 off Pueras alone and never got one. I think I will hit 99 before I get my second one

So! I use my trusty gameshark skills to edit only my Crimson Book x 1 to be Crimson Book x 3.

If any of you need the code, I used is:

800859FB 0003

This points to an item slot in your inventory so make sure it is not equipped first of all, and second, I am not 100% sure on how the inventory list in the game's memory is organized so this code may actually change something else to 3. More research to be done later.

If that's the case, you can change the "59FB" part of the code by two (less or more) so that you always end in an odd number. I.E. 59FB, 59FD, 59FF, 5A01, 59F9 etc. You of course would have to know a little about hex editing to do this.

Sorry to double post, but I'm an idiot!

That code up there is like randomly changing an item in your list to 3.

I found a better method.

80085958 00CE <- Sets item#1 in your list to Crimson Book
80085959 0003 <- Sets item#1 quantity to 3

Now hopefully you never ran out of Healing Leaves and the first item in your list will be Healing leaf so who cares if you overwrite it (go buy more). You can also play with the addresses to insert the item later in your item list. Just make sure the top underlined number ends in an even number (..6,8,A,C,E) and the second underlined number is 1 more than it.
