|
This is pretty much an impossible question but I figured I would ask it anyhow, does anyone remeber or have a list of the rpgs that were avalible on the sega channel? I am trying to find an old rpg that I remeber playing and for some reason cant seem to find it , unforutantly i dont remember the title which is why its so hard to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This may not be the definitive listing but you might be able to get some anwers on this site:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.sega.com/channel/ (Copy the entire URL above, don't click the one on the right) The 5 pages under 1997 are actual working copies of pages from the original Sega Channel website. I checked it out and didn't find too much but you might find some of what you're looking for there. -------------------

Thanks for finding old working pages related to Sega Channel, they were kind of helpful. The game sword of vermillion somewhat reminds me of the game that I remeber but, the traveling map screenshots I keep finding is not ringing any bells. I do have a feeling that it was a strategy rpg though because I distinctly remeber playing both shining forces aka some of the best rpgs ever made.

You might want to check out dome of the retro compilation games that are out there, Sword Of Vermillion and a couple other RPGs are featured in the new Sega Genesis Collection for PS2, along with 3 of the Phantasy Star games and some others. No Shining Force on it though.
There's also a PSP version. -------------------

I know this thread is over a year old but it helped me out a little too. I too was searching for a Sega Channel RPG game that I couldn't remember the title. The only thing I could remember was entering a dungeon by moving a gravestone. I just found it, It was called Light Crusader. Maybe that's the game you are looking for?
