re: Aircraft Trivia! |
quote Echo OneYou are partially correct. There have been two versions of the X-31. One flew in the 1990's. One started flying again in 2001: http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2001/q1/news_release_010305n.htm http://www.nawcad.navy.mil/strike/projects/fall2001/x31_fall2001.cfm The new one has the word 'VECTOR' written on the tail. Correct answer is 2001. This message was edited by the tank on Apr 02 2004. ------------------- ![]() http://snipshot.com/

re: Aircraft Trivia! |
quote The TankNot quite, since the Russian military branches all seem to use the same type of aircraft anyway; they do not have a similar requirement for aircraft similar to the our JSF. The picture is of the Suhkoi S-21 concept for their Light Fighter Initiative (guess on the acroynm) The answer to your question is the Enola Gay
