Yoshi in 64, real or not?

I've always wondered if yoshi is real in the N64 version of Super Mario 64. A lot of sites say he is real/not real. can anyone provide a screenshot?

Once you get all the stars, a cannon somewhere in front of the castle opens and it will shoot you on the roof and Yoshi will be there. There is also a glitch to get up there before you collect them all. Lots of videos on Youtube about it.

Yeah he's real. When you have all 120 stars, you unlocked a cannon that's next to the lake outside the castle. Go in the cannon and shoot yourself on top of the castle. Then walk around and you should find Yoshi walking around somewhere.

Yes. There is a glitch that you can go up on the castle roof before having 120 stars. It has something to do with going to the right side of the castle and wall jumping. I think there is also another glitch that when you get up on the roof, Mario gets hatless and you die.

I've never actually seen him, since I never got 120 stars. I have seen plenty of videos of him though so I'm sure he's real. I just need to get all the stars one of these days... :\

Yep he is all real.

He is sorta playable.
Using a Gameshark code to modify his x,y,z variable.
Basically it hacks his x,y,z variables and keeps him in the state of looking mode.

Oh trust me he's real alright. (in game)

After obtaining ALL 120 power stars, the cannon outside peach's castle will be unblocked. If you shoot yourself through the cannon onto the castle, Yoshi will greet you and give you a gift. Max lives, which is pointless, because you would need those near infinite lives to get the stars in the first place.
However, in the ds version, since he is the first playable character, he obviously won't be there, with the exception of the opening scene, which is a reference to the fact you can find him there in the original version.
