Kefka Laugh Anyways, I would love a job system in which you can modify what job you learn, but can change it if it you want (FFIII) but with elements of FFII as well. Anyways onto the basics. I WANT A WORLD MAP BACK! Same with the airship, and I don't mean what FFX did to the world map system, that was horrible, it was like torturing the system instead of just not having it at all. Another thing is good music. Hello people, there has been little good music lately, mainly because Nobuo Uematsu LEFT Square Enix. And yeah, sidequests have been a staple in FF, and they tortured that too in FFXIII, they should have kept them out, but they put them in just SO YOU HAVE TO DO THEM FOR THE PLATINUM TROPHY -_-. Another thing they need are summons, not ones that transform into a car in which you use to do a donut on the enemies that makes me sick. Hecaton was cool though, reminded me of Machina Maw But they could keep FFVIII's system in which you gain stats from Summons. For example you could choose your job whenever you want to. Next you can keep training in that job category or change it. Your job teaches you abilities, but equipping summons gives you additional stats which are optional and would require AP to learn. -------------------

	I am growing increasingly annoyed at the final fantasy titles ever since X. I loathed the combat in both 12 and 13. and the story... In 12 i though the entire story department of square enix must have been taking a nap when they planned out that carbon copy of the star wars saga and with 13 i feel like there was a good story that just got lost deep in the ****storm that was the hype for that game. I have this huge rant post about how the World Map is the cornerstone of any RPG and the fact that the recent FFs haven't had one is just ridiculous. Flying around the world map is what let's you learn the world. More importantly, flying form one character's hometown to another, is what made old FFs great. All FFVII is, is going from one hometown to another, solving problems in them all, and then going in a big circle and revisiting all the hometowns for a second time, with new problems. I agree they've gone away from the norm, but they certainly haven't lost it. I do want old FF game styles back, though. That's why I'm hoping Legends will be released in the U.S.. 	Those comments were directed at XII and XIII. I don't know what legends is and the After Years is a sequel, the works already done. And it isn't even really the world map, its the "home town effect," which a world map is a necessary part of that's missing. I ahve no idea where anybody from XII or XIII's from and even in X, you only really "visit" Kimarhi's home town. Not true, but I do get what you're saying about the world map. BTW, that's really wrong about FFX. Auron and Yuna are from Bevelle, Tidus is from Zanarkand, Rikku is from Home, and Kimahri is from Mt. Gagazet. All but two (Lulu and Wakka) are not native to Besaid. I haven't played XII hardly any, but I know Vaan, Penelo, and Ashe are from Dalmasca. In XIII, Lightning and Snow are from Bodhum, Hope is from Palumpolum (lol Palom and Porom), and Fang and Vanille are from Oerba. The only one whose origins are unknown is Sazh. You go to all of the locations I mentioned in some way or another. Final Fantasy Legends: Warrior of Light and Darkness. Brand new game with completely classic gameplay and style. 	It may be true that you know where they come from, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. It's my fault for not being clear. When you visit a characters hometown you usually learn alot about their past via a new problem that has arisen there. You solve problems in each home town while learning more about the character in question's motives, beliefs, etc... The reason I say you "visit" Kimarhi's hometown is because I distinctly remember the "problem" at Mount Gazette and how you help Kimahri solve it. As far as XIII and XII go you blaze through their worlds without gaining any attachment to the places you're trying to save. ------------------- AND DAUNTLESS "Are you awake?"

	Ah, I see now. Yeah, I know what you mean. Yeah, home towns have gotten bland as of late, and no one really cares besides "Hey look, I'm from here.". Of course, this also ties in with poor character development. I like FFXIII for the stunning graphics and fun battles (although a lot of it is restricted), but none of the characters stand out for me, and sometimes their happy-go-lucky attitude reminds me of a sitcom. Like when they get out of the Fifth Arc. That was...cheesy to say the least. ------------------- - Dead Island - Darksydephil

	I personally really enjoyed XIII and loved all the characters. They all evolved by the end of the story, but there it definitely leaves something ot be desires with the lack of the hometown effect. ------------------- AND DAUNTLESS "Are you awake?"
