	Log in to remove this sponsored message I've tried playing a few final fantasy games but never completed them due to computers blowing up and exes wanting discs back...pitiful excuses i know. But i'm determined to finish one now, so which FF would be best to start on? :S

	If good graphics are important to you: X If not: VI, VII, IX XII is one I really enjoy but it could ruin the rest for you if you start there. But then again if you start with the other ones they could ruin XII for you. XII is just different fromt the rest is what I'm getting at.

	VI and VII were my favorite entries. If you don't like those, I doubt you'll take to any of the other games.

	I started on FF-X It's got great graphics, the story's not overly boring, the side-quests are somewhat challenging but not impossible, you can get very strong in under 200 hours (dealing 999999 or 99999 damage- I forget which is the top once you've got a break damage limit weapon... is easy even with the mages' weapons regular attack which is unusual in an FF game.) My only problem with this game is that the main character is whiney, and not the strong, silent type like Cloud or Squall or Cecil, and he's not even amusing. If Zell from FF VIII (somewhat whiney) and Rikku (somewhat whiney) from FF X had a love child, the result would be Tidus (super-whiney). or you could start with VII- which is considered the series standard best by many fans. It's good fun, great plot, easy leveling system, and utimate weapons which are quite attainable. The graphics are of course from about 11 years ago, but don't let that bother you. All's I can say is don't play one of the many sub-plot games that have come out since Advent Children. -------------------

	I started with VIII (awesome game BTW. A lot better than claimed), but the best one to start with would be any version of IV (IIus on the SNES) other than the DS one.

	I made my reccomendation based on avaialability. I'd like to know where the TC can find a working NES cartridge of the first game (as far as I care, the remakes ruined that game). I have a cartridge but I don't know if it works or not, cos I got it for collection purposes (and so I can legally emulate the game).
