The Mastermind: Month 3, Week 9 |
![]() Zhou Tai Rocks|Dac|Loki|Lost in Azure| Welcome to the Mecca of Manipulation! This is a second take on the I-RP’s game created and shall be Season 1 of The Mastermind. In this world, we all face challenges, obtain opportunities, use secrets to your advantage, the ability to adapt, and much more. And in this game, it’s not only encouraged, it’s required! Reformations The Mastermind has gone through a transformation since it’s last appearance. Revisions have been made as you shall soon be seeing. The game shall be taking a more reality game show twist now, with the goal of this game becoming one of I-RP’s top games. There new editions shall be seen throughout while staying true to the original purpose of the game. This game shall be featuring both former challenges featured in previous Mastermind and many brand new challenges and twists I've personally constructed. However, I'd like to keep some of the new surprises quiet for now and for you to see once the game begins. How to Play The game shall be broken down into weeks, with each challenge premiering every Monday and challenge time continuing for a maximum of 48 hours or until the challenged is completed. Each week’s elimination shall be handled differently, sometimes repeating the process, others depending on the challenge. Regardless of way done, two contestants shall then compete in a Single Elimination Challenge with the loser leaving the Mastermind. Rules -Participation is a must. If you don’t participate, you shall instantly be put up for elimination. -Due to the general manipulative environment of this competition, I feel that it would help if we all were given an insight into your tactics, strategies, alliances, and much more. So, at the end of each week, you are required to send in a journal detailing what’s going on with you. -Nearly any tactic is acceptable unless specified during challenge - Don’t take anything personal. It’s just a game, have fun -No editing or deleting posts -Follow rules of Challenges -Don’t try to play or use The Hosts. It won’t end well. Sign Ups To apply for the game, simple send a private message the host of The Mastermind, Dash the Stampede. Instead of being a simple “who comes first” sign up, I’d prefer if everyone auditioned for the part instead. I’ll do my best to mix up what I’ll consider the most interesting cast for the game and it gives a fair chance to those who don’t make it in right away. If you aren’t feeling confident in self, still, step up, you’ve no clue how things may turn out and this is all for fun in the end. Your Name: Age: Gender: Why you believe you should be picked: Sign-ups shall remain open until the end of the following week on Friday, September 11, 2009. All are welcomed to sign-up and I hope to feature people both well-known to the forum alongside those just coming in. I shall be accepting a maximum of 11 player. ![]() Campaign Results Once again kudos for the turn out, I hope everyone decides to stick around to try out mafia games or follow Mastermind more. As you can see, we do have alot of great things here, so it's worth sticking around and trying out. Back to the results, this here is going to be the final outcome of the game: LiA: 105 Haz: 96 ZTR: 26 Dac: 15 Loki: 15 With our winner at 105 votes, Lost in Azure is now in control of nomination for the first time in Mastermind and to help decide the first pair sent up for elimination in Month 3. In our second aspect, we usually have whoever did poorest in the challenge go up for elimination. This week, Loki & Dac tied at the lowest. So, I'm going to throw things to fate as I simply flip a coin, Dac heads and Loki tails, with a 50% chance one of them is going to go up for elimination. And that player is..... Loki We've also had speculation as to what the final is. I shall finally announce it to everybody: The final stage of The Mastermind shall be near the end of the Month where two player's shall meet against each other in a 5-Game Series, winner takes all. To decide the games, the week before The Mastermind Gauntlet Finale inside their journals they shall each pick two different games from the options I shall place up. After a coin toss to decide who gets their game up first, the week shall be a back and forth between their challenges, whoever wins the toin coss gets to pick their first pick then opponent picks 2nd game, back and forth. A final tie-breaker game shall be at the end of the week if necessary and kept secret, selected by me. Aside from this stuff, tune in tomorrow for the Veto Challenge game. LiA, please select a player to go up for elimination and give me your reason why. ------------------- ![]() Shine like the sun, flow a river See a chance to win, take it like a picture

It's not odd, Haz is no threat to anyone with me around, seeing as he wants me gone so bad.

I will take it as a personal insult if you put The Hazard up for elimination.

quote Dash the StampedeKnowing what the Veto is going to be would make this a lot easier. Should I give Hazard a shot, or backdoor him? But if I try to backdoor him there's also the possibility of nobody winning Veto. I'll give you a shot Hazard, since we still need a final battle. ;D I nominate The Hazard. -------------------
