Sound problem - voice stuttering

Hey all, when daffy duck speaks, the sound badly stutters and its way out of sync with the text.

For instance he says something for 2 seconds then it skips 5 seconds, then speaks for 2 seconds, etc...

Any ideas why?

Ive tried a different sound card, different drivers, all other apps and games sound fine, DX is updated, XP SP2 is installed.

I doubt its my PC, it seems more like its a bug in the game.
