	"When the time is right" means "when the time is right." That doesn't mean "sometime in 2007, the tenth anniversary of Final Fantasy VII." We'll just have to wait and see to be sure. Or they could have said it to be vague and hope that people will eventually forget about it. -------------------

You honestly think its going to play out that way. Don't get me wrong i want a FF7 remake just as much if not more than most here, but im being realistic here. I mean lets say they do announce it at that time, its still going to be 4 years+ b4 its released, since they have all the other projects to finish and get started with. I would rather them say right now that in 4 years we will look into FF7 remake, thats better than stating "right time". What is right time, it could be 2 years, 5 years or possibly 10 years. Like i stated before quote finalblade98 And by confirming i mean when exactly, like in 4 years or such we will start and look into the projects. But no, we get them beating around the bush as usually toying with all of us. "Right time" isn't a confirmation until they set a day and year in my eyes at least. Sorry but i don't agree with GG or Shuyins Girl at this moment. But 000DESTRUCT0 said it perfectly, we'll just have to wait and see. Good point Neto, I have to agree with you there. 	No one ever said anything about it going into production now. A simple "We haver plans to release a remake of Final Fantasy VII in the near future" would suffice for me. 	To be honest, I really wouldn't be surprised if their next Compilation project is the Remake. As I said before, this year has been "the year of FFVII" and Squeenix have been whoring the absolute crap out of everything remotely FFVII-oriented (including Remake hints). It wouldn't surprise me if they announce a Remake at the end of the year (or a little time afterwards) after the success of Crisis Core and "lead up" to the start of the FFVII storyline. It certainly seems like their 'in the mode' for making it, especially with Kitase's comment that "Crisis Core is filled with the message: Make a Remake". I dunno .... maybe this is just wishful thinking, but in my opinion "the right time" (for fans, anyways) would be the end of the year - to end the 10th Anniversary with a big bang. ------------------- ---> ADD FATAL FRAME IV FORUM! <-- FFIV FORUM Preview

	Is anyone else really 50-50 on this? I for one would love to see how it would run in next gen but knowing they change so much stuff I just can't help but think it'll bleep up more stuff, especially with Sephiroth and I can expect it not having the original feel.

But yeah, it's pretty dissapointing. 	A remake would be the only reason to get a PS3 expect Resistance Fall of Man, so I don't know y Squeenix wouldn't make a sequel. It probably would cost 2 much money. BTW Ray, 12000+ posts!? 	Money wouldn't really be a factor when it came to remaking one of their most popular games ever. You think Square Enix would worry about money issues when it came to a game that would most likely easily double what they spent making it? Lol Come on! Also I think if they we're to wait until the 20th anniversary of the game it would be way too long and they would end up scrapping it. IMO.. If they remake anything it should be Chrono Trigger....
