Finally, were doing something I want to do ^^

quote Xtrordinary
To sum it up ; Let the world map stay the way it is .
I second that motion ! I like the new no random battles, no mini-map scheme that Square have created for their newer games, but I don;t think they should change something in a remake that was never bad to begin with ^^

I completely agree.

Sephiroth was too easy.

They need to make him much harder. Otherwise his show of power throughout the game won't make sense.

I disagree. Making the difficulty harder the second time around wouldn't change anything. It would make everthing the exact same difficulty as it was the first time. What's the difference between weak characters vs. weak bosses and strong characters vs. strong bosses.

They should just make it harder the first time through and leave it at that.

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

I just want Sephiroth to be harder.

In FFVII's case, it was strong characters v.s. weak bosses.

So I don't think increasing the difficulty would be that bad.

I agree, sephiroth should definitely be harder than he was.

And I also agree about keeping the world map the same style, just with better graphics would be awesome xD

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

Nothing seems to have happened since I've been gone.
At least, nothing non-petty.

I noticed the online petition mentioned on the first page. To that I say: Nobody gives a damn about online petitions, no matter how many signatures they get.

Yes, Sephiroth should be more difficult.

And,

I'll back him on that, even if it is only to contradict you and piss others off.

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

I thought Sephiroth's difficulty was just right. If you didn't go out of your way to level up and get optional strong equipment/materia, then he's really as hard as any other FF final boss.

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

The Sephiroth fight should have some handicap on your party to make it more challenging. Something like summons or magic not working on him or something. Just an idea. I know they would never make a change that big, but I wouldn't have minded it being like that in the original.

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

You could Handicap yourself in the original though, if you really wanted to - just don't use magic or summons in this case ^^

To an extent you could make Sephiroth harder yourself by doing something along those lines, if you feel unfulfilled by the last battle

Maybe they could make an FFVIII-like Monster Advancement System specifically for Sephiroth? The stronger you are, the stronger he gets. Like he's pretty hard no matter what level you're on.

He gets harder once Cloud is past level 95. Not much harder though.

I think that disabling KOTR and/or Omnislash in the Sephiroth battle would be a good option. He's a reasonable boss when those limits and summomns aren't used.

re: Final Fantasy VII Remake (Version 7)

What about the other Omni-Slash level Limit Breaks.

What about 4xCut and Mime Materias?

His HP should at least double, and he should have an attack that hits multiple times to random targets, dealing thousands of damage each strike, for about 5 strikes. ^^

Super Nova should deal 75% HP Damage to everyone, based on max HP. So unlike spells like Demi, it can kill.
