Zarnik Upping the graphics is an obvious, and with that shows no signs of blocky square figures like in the past, since no game in todays gen or last had it. It common sense.

Nah i don't want it to be flashy imo, it will ruin the game, since the first never had it.

I like the music the way it is, and sounds so no i rather see it the same, changing that will screw with the game.

This is all there should be:
1. Better graphics.
2. Voice overs.
3. maybe finish some side quests that never gotten to be finished with the first. And Make sephy a little harder cause he was far to easy on any level, especially with KOTR.

Thats it imo, doesn't need anything else. Although i did want a new game plus feature as an option like in FFX-2 or something like it. Cause i think it will add to the replay value to be honest. But thats my thoughts.

Personally there are a few things i would like to see in the remake of this glorious game:
1. obviously better graphics. in my opinion, granted yes given the time of original release it was the best they could do but, i don't think the graphics really do the game justice. im not one to bitch about how good a game looks, im in it for the story, but FF7 really deserves better justice for graphics.
2. again obviously, voice actors. and as far as the voice cast goes, i think they just need to use the same voice acting that they have used since they started giving the characters voices in Kingdom Hearts, although for aerith she needs to have the voice that she had from AC. otherwise it wouldn't sound like her.
3. more side-quests would be nice. A few new optional boss battles would be really cool too, i think. I think personally they should make it a bit easier to breed the Gold Chocobo. i sat there for days trying to breed one exactly the way its suppose to be done and i never got one. i think they need to leave omnislash in there, but then add as a bonus Omnislash v. 5. I agree that the buster sword was way to down-played. i think what they should do is make it kinda like AC where you start with a basic sword like he had and as you collect new weapons you can combine them into what eventually becomes the Buster Sword and make that equally as powerful as Ultima Weapon and allow you to chose which one you want to use because once you start getting new weapons the Buster Sword is obsolete and stops being used before you even get out of Midgar.
4. The main story should remain untouched, but I think they should give the hidden characters a lot more back story time. For instance, Vincent gets no back story time at all really. Vincent's Waterfall was too trivial and should have had a bit more depth to it. The same goes for Yuffie and Cid, even though he isn't a hidden character. I also think that they should take the Zack flashbacks deeper and use the full story of how he died and how Cloud truly came to wield the Buster Sword from the start like they did in the Japanese version. As well as more story behind Aerith and Zack's past. Cait Sith on the other hand.....well he was the most useless character in the party as far as im concerned. his stats were horrible, he only had two limits, and again there was no back story to him at all.
5. The world map.....i think Cloud and the towns really should be more proportional. that always kinda bothered the hell outta me. I also think that the Highwind should be transformed to the jet engines a bit earlier in the game and the map should be a bit bigger and more spread out to accommodate for the proportionalizing of the towns.
6. As we all know they have made some changes to the base story to FF7. I have no real problem with that, but I think that now that they have done that they need to reflect the changes in the remake by dropping hints at them if they change was made to a sequel or just reflecting them period is made in a prequel. For instance, as we all know, rufus somehow managed to survive the explosion in ShinRa tower so go ahead and drop some kind of hint that he will come back to play later on in the story, not necessarily the game but the story as a whole.
7. Sephiroth.....make him completely dependent on Cloud's lvl in the game as far as how difficult he is. as Cloud's lvl goes up, add more HP to him make him heal a bit more often or whatever. The difficulty of the final battle should reflect on how hard and how much work the player put into lvling up Cloud and be proportional to it.

These are my ideas and i feel that they are fairly reasonable. if anyone disagrees then i would like to hear your opinions as to why.

2 a new charcter
3 the posiblitly to revieve aries or get a close resemblennse

Adding a new character kind of makes it a new game, not a remake. A new game that looks suspiciously a lot like Final Fantasy VII.

I don't really want to see a remake, maybe just a re-release On PSN (especially FFVIII since disc doesn't work and for the past 9 years i wasn't able to finish the game).

If it were to be remade... I only want:
1-Better dialogs
2-Better Graphics (WOW NO SHIT RIGHT?)
3-Orchestral versions of the songs
4-Better/More side quest (I always feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed the quest where Yuffie stole all of the materia then gets kidnapped)

I actually don't see the need for voice overs. I realized (after replaying some old games) that I payed more attention to the story and characters without the voice overs, but rather reading. Ah well, maybe it was just me...

So I was reading through the February issue of Gamepro and I found a "Top 10 Games Deserving of a Remake" list. Guess which game just happened to be on that list...

Final Fantasy VII was ranked #5 and this is what they had to say about it: "To preserve its achievements while simultaneously avoiding the wrath of purists, Square need only refurbish the graphics and sound. Online co-op would be cool, too. Wink,wink."

At least more people than just us are still talking about a remake!

Personally i don't know why Tetris needs to be remade, i say its fun and perfect the way it is.
Doom i would love to see remade, FF7 is a no brainer for me. And OMFG Road Rash I loved that freaking game so much. I remember playing so many hours kicking butt with cattle prods and Whip chains made it brings back the good old days.

And in remembrance of the good old days and EA best game ever, I take you back to the best racing game.




Now if EA ever decides to remake this game, don't care if its multiplatform or not, i will love them forever.

I think Final Fantasy VII, Doom, and Castlevania are the only deserving games in that list.

Maybe The Legend of Zelda, but I really enjoy it the way it is.
