Aeris appeared in AC, but she was never physically brought back to life like Sephiroth was. She's a Cetra, she has a connection to the Planet and seems to be able to communicate with Cloud telepathically.

Sephiroth however needs J-Cells to be brought back to life. Jenova's head seems to no longer be around at the end of AC, and the only characters with J-Cells that are still alive are Cloud and Genesis (maybe Weiss if he's not dead). Sephiroth certainly can't take over Cloud's body, and Genesis seems too important of a character to be Sephiroth's puppet.

And finalblade98, for the last time, Square is not Capcom. Vergil is dead, he exploded after Dante defeated him in the first Devil May Cry and left behind his amulet. We never saw him again. Devil May Cry 3 took place in the past, so that's a different story.

I don't think that it's completely unlikely that Sephiroth will return. If Squeenix can come up with a reasonable explanation for yet another return, then I could accept that. After all, his final words in AC didn't exactly imply that he was about to die.

I believe the next time Sephiroth returns in physical form will be his last.

As much of a fan as I am of Sephiroth, I don't think I could handle yet another comeback.

Sephiroth is an interesting and awesome SOLDIER, but having him continuosly come back again and again will eventually get reppetitive and make him predictable and boring.

The ending of AC certainly leaves him open for interpretation and he will most likely return in some form, but after that, if he is going to be defeated, I think he'll be gone for good, even if his memory lives on.

You're not even making any sense. What do you mean he doesn't need J-Cells to return? His "will" supposedly made the SHM seek out Jenova's head. That's enough proof that he needs it.

As far as Vergil goes... link me to an article that has them saying that? He hasn't been confirmed to be in DMC4 as far as I know, and the series hasn't technically ended yet, so you don't know that he won't be killed off for good if he were to come back to life. I don't really see a point in him coming back now either, Dante's no longer the main character.

And Aeris does not have the ability to bring people back to life, it's not even open for interpretation.

Square originally ended FFVII with Sephiroth dead. To suddenly have the possibility that he would come back in the last game after he's defeated would be the biggest cop out ever. They never done this with other villains, why start now?

Really have you seen AC, she literally saved and brought back cloud at the end. Remember him getting bullets in his back. Well i will find the link later, i have it on the other PC.

When the heck was it confirmed that Cloud was dead? Cloud was simply knocked unconscious. Aeris does not have the ability to bring the dead back to life. Square didn't even mention anything like that in the Reunion Files.

You're kidding, right? Explain to me how that means Vergil will never die.

The article basically says that his character in the story is important, and that won't change as long as the series is still around. That doesn't mean he won't die. Not to mention that they haven't even confirm that he will be in DMC4.

How does this show Sephiroth won't die? Capcom and SE aren't the same company. Sephiroth will die once FF7 is over.

Um hello If capcom won't get rid of Vergil in there series what makes you so sure Square will. Thats the point. Until they announce it He isn't dead. And will never be dead or be killed off.
