The reason why Aeris may have been able to embody herself in a physical presence in AC is probably because she is a Cetra.

Cetra are beings that can communicate with the planet, so once they actually become a part of it (When they die), perhaps they can still communicate through the planet to people in the living world.

Of course, Cloud is the only person that seems to be able to see her, as nobody else could see her, besides those two kids (Could they have been the same two kids that hung around the church in the original FF7?).

Hmm possible Ray, Well in essence FFX and FF7 are connected in the fact that the people don't die in a sense and become spiritual and be able to talk to people. But i get what you mean torebaa its very similar. Well let me ask this what other powers does the cetra have anyway, I mean we still haven't seen there potential or Sephys for that matter.

But the fact that no one else noticed her, and the fact that she seems to appear and dissapear means that she wasn't exactly physical.

In fact, she may just be speaking in Cloud's head, and Cloud's being dellusional like he always is. XD

Regardless, if anyone could do that, I think alot more of these "spirits" would be showing up.

For example, Barret might see Dyne.

Of course, the Aeris and Zack at the end is more a tribute to them for the fans than anything else imo.

I doubt anyone put that much though in AC to implant that actually <.<

Xtrordinary you would be surprised, I bet Nomura did put that into thinking. But tell me since Sephy isn't dead wouldn't that mean They will still need Aeris help again one day. If he tries a similar move in AC.

Meteor and Holy are gone.

I don't really think Aeris is needed anymore.

Even if Sephiroth returned.

I think the only thing Aeris can do is act as a mental drive for Cloud and friends when facing against her killer, Sephiroth.

Kinda like what she did in AC.

*Ehh* I don't think Aerith will be playing Cloud's "guardian angel" anymore. In AC, she was really only there to give him moral support, as well as make sure he forgives himself and gets over his grief. Since, at end of AC, Cloud had realized he asn't alone and had gotten over that grief, Aerith could say her "final goodbye". Her work was done. She can return to the Lifestream, where she belongs. And Cloud can stay with his friends, where he belongs.

She might appear again, but I doubt it will be anything major. I got the impression that Squeenix don't want to go too crazy with Aerith's appearances, and might be toning it down in the future to give us that "Aerith is gone" feeling again (e.g. She made no appeaance in DoC)

Well why not, i like the idea of her being a guardian angel for him. I mean its like repaying him back from him being her bodyguard IMO. I just don't like the idea of her not being involved in a FF7 game.

He doesn't need a guardian angel anymore though. He has his living friends to look out for him now. That was what Aerith wanted. She didn't want him dwelling on the dead. He still had a life to live - with other living people.
She'll see him again when it's his turn to die. That's the way she wants things to be.
