	IMO Rinoa is the FF8 equivalent of Tifa, but who do u prefer!? I'm not 100% yet but i'll give my answer when iam. Who do u prefer? Also i think it would be fun to match up other chars from other games. Heres a couple, Yuffie is like Sephie and Vincent is like Auron. 	Hmm I think I'd go for Tifa, she kicks a lot of ass!..... But Rinoa is a sorceress??? No I'm sticking with Tifa! Yuffie is like Selphie is like Rikku! Cloud and Squall are quite similar. 	Tifa hands down more for her character then anything although Rinoa was in some aspects similar to one another. If you think about they were almost, not really, the same character.

	I don't really think that Tifa and Rinoa's personalities are anything alike. Rinoa openly flirted with Squall. Her opening line was "you're the best looking guy here" She was always trying to get Squall to be more open about his feelings, and was pretty determined to help the SeeDs with their fight against Edea/Ultimecia/Galbadia/etc. even if she did end up being completely useless and always needed to be saved. But Tifa is nearly the opposite. She obviously likes Cloud, but doesn't really flirt with him because she's so scared of rejection. She accepts Cloud for who he is, and doesn't try to force him to act in any way he doesn't want to (except for AC - but she had a good reason then!). 	AC Tifa was made to look like Rinoa, but other then that, they are polar opposites when it comes to their personalities. Yuffie is similar to all the other annoying characters, but she does a much better job of it, and it's hard to hate her for it. <3 ------------------- .•º'º•. Snow Maiden .•º'º•.

	yeh i was gunna say the tifa in AC is just rinoa in grey and black, but why? whats wrong with how tifa looked before? Rinoas a stupid girl that doesnt even stand up for herself, why would anyone wanna be like that...Tifas certainly lowered herself

	Whatever pigletpie...you don't know anything about Rinoa if that's your opinion Jesus, it's FFVII > All, ok? In terms of characters, the games strengths, etc.. It's clear that we should not compare these characters to ones from other games, especially with it's fanbase. FFVII is too much of a 'perfected' game...not saying that it's perfect as a game, but everything aims to be rather high, like all those infected by the J-Cells, and barely any weaknesses shown from the characters. Idealization or something FFVIII is more down-to-earth. Obviously that's not some people's tastes, they'd rather have an escape from reality, where there's Greek...I mean idealized people and such. As for Rinoa, it's nice to see a girl take that initiative, and open Squall up, whilst Tifa was still struggling to help Cloud open up as we see in AC. But a good amount of people would rather Squall stay alone with the 'whatever' attitude. Sure it's cool, but he'll become an empty shell and before you know it, live in confinement. 	Just because Cloud and Sephiroth are very powerful individuals, doesn't mean FF7 characters have no weaknesses. If anything, they have alot of emotional weaknesses. <_< I'm not sure about Rinoa though. She may have just been flirty for the sake of being flirty. I mean, she did have a fling with Seifer, didn't she? xD I'm sure she ended up falling in love with Squall and vice versa, of course. Guys are ussually the ones saving the girls, so it's kind of unique how Tifa was able to save Cloud though. Likewise, Rinoa "saved" Squall from being a loner. xD I think they are both awesome, but Tifa would kick Rinoa's ass royally in a fight. Not just because Tifa is a great martial artist, but Rinoa seems like a "princess" type with little combat experience prior to her aid of the SeeDs. Screw sorceress powers. 	If Tifa gets materia, it's only fair that Rinoa be allowed GFs to junction things out, no? I didn't say they had no weaknesses, I just said that they barely have any. Still, you cannot deny the game's setting. Outside of Cloud/Sephiroth matches though, that's mainly due to popularity, I guess. 	And that proves my point even further Which main character chick can Tifa not bring down after FFVII? No one would deny that she can defeat Rinoa, Yuna, Ashe, anyone. Of course, Rosa can stand a chance, maybe even Lightning, but we don't know too much about her. Even so, no FF is bigger than VII, so what's the sense in debating outside it's own world when we all know the conclusion's to be the same?
