Both Zack and Cloud were deemed failures, weren't they?

I believe Hojo wanted any failures executed.

That may explain why all those Shinras were after Cloud and Zack.

Zack showed totally normal signs and no effects from the experiments, so it was clear to the soldiers that he was a failure, but Cloud, on the other hand recieved the ill effects of the experiment, so they probably left him alive because of that, or probably because they thought he was already dead.

If Hojo wanted them back for more experimentation, I doubt they would have killed Zack.

Thus, I believe Hojo deemed them both failures, and to be terminated.

Shinra has no reason to kill Zack.

They had no reason to, until Zack and Cloud escaped Hojo.

The othr Sephiroth Clones were also not normal. Remember the tunnel man? He was "sick" just like Cloud was and he had a tattoo.

I really don't understand why you continue to pursue this so much finalblade. I'm pretty confident in myself, as I essentially wrote the Ultimania Omega Guide to FFVII before it was released and have spent hours upon hours playing the game, researching the story, and analyzing the script of FFVII. I know as well as anyone what happened in the game and the story behind it.

For the sake of debate, don't use anything from Last Order as evidence. Remember, it was made for the sole purpose of entertainment and discrepancies should favor what actually happened according to the storyline during the game.

They were both failures in Hojo's experiment.

But it turned out Cloud was somewhere in between the line between FAIL and PASS, and it seemed as though he was a successful clone, but in the end, he managed to fight off the control.

Mister Ivanovich you make an interesting point. But tell me why would Hojo deemed him a failure, i mean he did do what sephy made him do in disc one and mostly likely in disc two, until he was knocked out and tifa had to rebuild his real self again. But maybe during the end of disc two and 3 he was deemed a failure but for the majority of the game he seemed like a successful clone. The only possible explanation of hojo calling him a failure has to be the reason of him not becoming as powerful as sephy. And since he wasn't well known as sephy was he called everyone who isn't as strong as him a failure. but it seems stupid to do that.

Moonrise if so then why are thinking im wrong. I mean i have read and analyzed and played the game more so than i can count. Don't you think i would know just as much as everyone else. FF7 is my favorite game above all others. I research more on that than i do anything else.
The FMV i was referring to holds what im trying to explained its essentially what starts this whole story.

Well with that wouldn't that imply any other game that has to do with FF7 whether it be sequel or not.

When did i say everyone was wrong, im just implying that the reunion files says thats cloud was actually a clone than not. Hojo by that time he called him that was not even in the same mind frame as he was when he started the J-project. So what he says isn't really anything to hold IMO.



EDIT: I found this in the reunion files online. it reads

Correct me if im wrong but wouldn't that imply the sephiroth clones has to give the Black Materia to sephy, the "Master". And Since we know Cloud gave Sephy the Black Materia wouldn't that make him a Sephy Clone. Just a thought.

In the game when I first played it, since they threw around clone so much, I thought that the Cloud we knew and loved was a literal clone of sephroth, like Sephiroth is techincally his father. Though thats not true, he lived a normal life and he got experimented on in an attempt to turn him INTO a clone. Of course this was due to bad translations and whatnot.

But ya know, I never understood why Niblehem was just fine when you go there and eveyrone denies that there was a fire..... I just thought of it and I never understood this.

Actually ray when i was looking on the reunion files Again i saw another reason why hojo called him a failure, It states that Clouds drive to pursue sephy for revenge For 5 years ago gave him that idea. Which i guess makes sense, but still hojo wasn't in the frame of mind at that time period. I mean the Sephy clones were suppose to show when the Reunion will happen. And since Cloud had J-cells it was calling to him as well. By the time we saw Hojo again which was late 2 dsic he was already crazy beyond his normal mind frame.

Yea like moonrise said Shinra re-built the town and the people were employees of shinra.

One of the homes in the town contains a few journal entries by one of the "citizens", detailing their progress in re-creating Nibelheim as it was before the incident.
