Sephiroth Genesis or any other man who has been infested with jenova cells isnt bad right? The only things in the game that are truly evil, pure evil is Jenova and Hojo right. I know who Hojo is he is the father of sephiroth and husband to Lucretcia. A mad scientist who only cares about his crazy experiments. But who the hell is Jenova really, are there no official information released by Square enix in some book or something who jenova really is?

Does that mean that if square do a remake if you kill all of the weapons they could make another Jehova that the weapons were meant to kill but didn't. Oh, by the way, the Aerith ressurection thing doesn't work. Trust me i had a lot of spare time on my hands, looked up every, yes every single supposed way of getting her to come back, tested each one out and nothing happened. Almost all of the rumours on ff7 are made up completely by idiots who think its funny to waste other peoples' time. The rest are made up by people who think there is a slim possibility that they might actually work. None do. If someone says they have tried a rumour and it works they are almost certainly lying. If they don't there is an extremely small possibility they are telling the truth.

Yeah, it's not a glitch like people say, though.

Sephiroth was NOT in control of the headless Jenova that you were chasing. This is evidenced the first time that the team encounters Sephiroth while not in a flashback. (The ship from Junon) The first words spoken by Sephy/Jenova to the party is "Who are you?." If it really was Sephiroth controlling Jenova, than I think he would recognize the man that nearly killed him and pwned him by throwing him in the lifestream.

Also, SEPHIROTH HAS HER HEAD! That's really the ONLY reason that the reunion takes place around him and not at Midgar. Sephiroth is incapacitated and therefore the only one not able to attend so everything comes to him, or rather, where the HEAD is. The fact that he's still clutching on to Jenova's head is probably the reason why there's so much emphasis on him. The fate of Jenova's head is never revealled, but I'd like to think that SHE was controlling HIM even while they were frozen together in the North. Maybe Jenova can't use the black materia and only someone like Sephiroth can. Jenova has a history of manipulation, as evidenced by her ONLY line of dialogue in the game: "Because... Cloud... You are a puppet."

Well sir, that is quite an old post that you're dredging up there. Nearly 5 years old in fact. Still, the crux of the matter is that the game doesn't reveal where exactly Professor Gast found Jenova, and nor does it really matter. As I said back then, it was only my belief that Jenova was found on Mt Nibel, not a fact. Yet I do still imagine that to be the case today.

However, your musings only serve to pose more questions. If the Shinra were actively searching for and selectively choosing an out of the way place to conduct the experiments, why choose Nibelheim? Why not at the Gongaga reactor, an even more remote location? Also why was there no real secrecy involved with Hojo's Jenova specimen in the Shinra HQ if they were so concerned about "peons" becoming aware of the Jenova projects existence? Jenova was said to have been found by Gast in a geological stratum which just suggests to me a mountain range. (Mt Nibel)

All we know about Jenova is, it is some sort of space bug, which probably came by tagging along the first meteor which fell 2,000 yrs ago. It is not native of the Planet.

The proof for this could be that (as stated by Buganhagen in Cosmo Canyon), all sentient lifeforms - from lowest bug to the higher level beings like humans and even the Weapons, were created from the essence of the LifeStream, which means once a person dies, he or she will return back to the LifeStream, his or her knowledge will make up part of the LifeStream and he or she will be reborn in the World again (hopefully in a better state then the one he was before).

However, when Gast and company found Jenova's remains, it was stuck in a stratum in a human form. It was over 2,000 years old and did not seems to have decayed much (very much like the way ya could find Lucretia's body in the Crystal cave.

It is not written anywhere, but if what Buganhagen was correct about all sentient being returning back to LifeStream once they had died, it is possible that the LifeStream itself (like a super consciousness) had rejected Jenova from entering into the LifeStream.

I believe Jenova was stuck in the Planet which don't want it, do not allow it to reborn and have no way of getting out of the Planet without Jenova blowing it up somehow.

And that's, my dear friends is why I believe Jenova wanna to manipulate some unfortunate soul to summon Meteor up everyone's butt.

In a way, it is a jailbreak for Jenova, so I don't think it is evil on purpose.

There is no conclusive evidence that Sephiroth was forced to act because of his biology.

Actually, there is no such thing as Jenova "Parasite" or virus. It was Jenova CELLS, which means that Gast and company had taken cells (probably still living within the Jenova body) and placed it into young men (and women - as in DeepGround) to make them into SOLDIERS.

The Ancients did defeat Jenova, thus preventing the Weapons from becoming active and wiping everything out (to heal the Planet and start the process of life again, without Jenova). However, they must have thought that Jenova (in its physical form) had died - very much like what Hojo had thought his wife, Lucretia had died after childbirth and Sephiroth after his physical dead in hands of Zack and Cloud.

Actually, there is no conclusive evidence that it was Sephiroth who was acting. The game provided clues that who we were chasing was not who we thought it was - when we fought Jenova Rebirth (on the ship) and Jenova (forgot the name - after Aeris dies).

It is the gamers who continues to deny that they were chasing something else, and stubbornly believe it was Sephiroth.

Actually Gothic Girl's theory makes a lot of sense. Why else would he kill those cloaked figures at the North Cave?

It's more likely the latter since the game emphasised that Jenova has the "ability to change one's looks, voice, and words." It's probably the form Jenova took when she originally fooled the Ancients into believing she was one of them, and then ended up being confined by the Ancients in that form.
