Anyway, I'd much rather all the mystery about Jenova remained a mystery. I'm happy knowing it's an entity that had crossed the Universe, destroying an endless string of planets, and for an unrevealed purpose. Because, tbh, it's beyond human knowledge, unless a big bad stone scripture fell from the sky some day telling us that is was born in Deiling City, named Charlie Chapman. If all the info was revealed, it'd be pretty silly.

I don't remember where (i think maybe G4 or something), but I recall Nomura stating in an interview that he has yet to plan what is next in FFVII (this is after the game, AC, CC, and DoC came out), implying of course that he hasn't indefinately quit the franchise. So I'm pretty sure we're gonna get our answers. And if not, then Nomura must be executed with a Masamune, injected with Jenova cells, and locked in a coffin under ShinRa mansion.

Nooooo! *casts Shield on Nomura* I don't want any answers, or more games for that matter. I believe a simple remake would suffice, or a game based on Sephiroth during the Wutai war. Maybe even one set 2000 years ago where Jenova is at full power. But no answers.

You when i first talked about FF7 all i ever wanted was a remake then stop all the sequels and prequels and GG remember me when i said this. Now i changed my view, all these sequels and prequels are needed. I must know all these answers, even her real name if he tells us.

There is many loop holes in the story that its definitely a mystery and it needs to be answered.

Exactly. I don't consider not knowing Jenova's real name a sa "loop hole" or a "mystery". In fact, I'd rather not know what her name is, or where she comes from.

After all, the information we have gotten about Jenova is mostly from the character's (and the Cetra's) point of view. That's all the info that was known about Jenova on Gaia.

That's what makes her so mysterious and appealling as an enemy - Not much is known about her, only that she is a HUGE threat to the Planet (and possibly many other planets before her), and still poses a threat to th Planet 2000 year later (through Sephiroth, mind you).

As for her name ... I couldn't imagine Jenova being called anything other than "Jenova", so I'd hate for Squeenix to 'reveal' her original name.
She might have already had a name. She might not have. But I'm happy enough with "Jenova".

I prefer to think that she doesn't have a real name. Because if she did, then that brings up the question: Who called her that? Members of her race? Does that mean she even has a race? Are there more "Jenovas" floating around in the universe? Or is there only one?
They're things that I, quite frankly, don't want to know.

I want to know it all.

Seriously, I do. I'm curious. I hope they tell us where she's originally from, why she likes the carnage she causes, what she is, her real name if she has one, all of that kind of stuff. I used to think that I would hate to know the origin of the Borg from Star Trek and after I found out how they came to be my outlook on finding out cryptic information from any series changed. It's

Those were a few good questions asked there, GG. Particularly 'Are there more 'Jenovas' floating around in the universe?'. It really got me thinking... Even still I'd rather none of it were revealed. I'd rather just believe it's the flu virus in a thousand years time.

I like to think there's only one "Jenova". I can't imagine there being more than one anyway. After all, since Jenova is only a virus, then surely any other "Jenovas" would only be an extension of the Jenova we see in the game? There'd be no "separate" Jenovas. Instead, they would all just be separate pieces of the one "being"?

It's also nice knowing that the most powerful creature in the FFVII universe is an alien that has taken the form of a woman.

Well I seem to recall that according to Greek mythology (and we all know how much SquareEnix like their mythology) Women were send down by the gods (in the form of Pandora) to cause chaos and disquiet amongst the happy and settled humans. So perhaps Jenova was send down by the FFV11 gods as a punishment? Who are these gods? Perhaps all other FFV11 women spawned from Jenova?

Hopefully we shall never know...

here is a theory. i remember ray masamune or gothic girl said b4 that japanese stories have women as the strongest power in the story. maybe jenova is really the strongest power in ff7?? think about it. when sephiroth discovered her all his attention went on jenova & getting revenge for her. but then cloud stabbed him & he now pays attention to getting revenge on cloud. maybe jenova is jealous that sephiroth has forgotten his revenge for her & now she is trying to control sephiroth to destroy the world because he wont do it himself? he focused on killing cloud now. maybe jenova is not happy with tht?

If we had all the answers we wouldn't b here in this thread. I reckon that we don't need the answers coz we got our own theories neway. personally, I think that Jenova is another Planets version of Omega. sum things are just meant to remain a mystery... like eating with mouth open or closed, which should we do... Hmmmm ... interesting.

It is interesting. A virus twists, breaks off into pieces, each piece rapidly evolving in their own unique way... There could very well be a number of 'Jenovas' out there, each originating a single 'something-or-other'.

... But like I said earlier, I'd rather it all be a mystery.
