Level 99!!!

Has anyone gotten to level 99 on disk one before theyve left midgar cause I have you just find an area where you fight enemies with allot of expierience Note it takes a LONG TIME!!!

I love FF7 but I'd find that very boring trying to reach level 99 on such low level enemies. Besides being that strong takes away the fun (in my opinion).

I haven't even gotton Cloud on disc three this would take me max hours on the time bar to do.

This game can't be any fun if you're at Lv.99 in disc 1 and killing everything with one slash of Cloud's huge sword

I got so pissed cause Ive always struggled throught the beginning of final fantasy games so in this one I just decided to go all out and not advance the story until I had reached the highest level I could
Im very patient It took me any where from 60-80 hrs to do but it was totally worth it to see every boss on the first disk go down in like 2 hit, it gave me that certain immunity to fear of pain that a god would feel

I don't mind levelling up - and that works two wqys; it means I don't mind the process of levelling up, but I also don't pay much attention to the actual levelling. I only train hard enough to beat the Midgar-Zolom before crossing the marshes so that my characters can learn Beta on their first go; after that I follow my own steady pace until I get to the Gelnika. After that, all bets are off, because an hour or three later, I'll have one character with at least a few maxed out stats (usually Strength, Speed and Luck, and usually for Cloud - although I've taken the liberty to max Yuffie first as well... I, uh, I like Yuffie!) and I'll be working on at least one other character as well to turn into a tiny little demi-God.

It's not necessary. I've beaten Ruby and Emerald WEAPON with level 60+ characters, without maxed stats - and if you can take them down, you needn't worry about any other enemy in the game unless they can deal instant Death or do 9999 damage before you have a chance to act!
