We've already finished the tournament March 28, but I'm organizing a new one which should take place around mid-June. Hope to see a lot of people there !

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a sort of FF7 related competition?
I think it's fun to keep it active with a bit of fun within all the discussion, there is a new tournament in the making, thanx to Loynis, and there will be a banner competition again in a few month's, but what to do in the meanwhile?
PM ME with suggestions, and if they sound good, I post it here as a suggestion to hear if it's something people would be interested in.

I got a suggestion from Crux that we should have some art related competition.
We we're thinking of making the competition a FF7 strip competition. There is no limit on how long it must be, and how detailed.

Then the only things you need to follow is:

If you know someones work is stolen, you must have something to back it up, and you must let me know (you would be anonymous, and you will get a cookie (=respect point)

The best pictures will be be selected by judges who does not post in this forum (FF7 forum that is), so that we would keep this as honest as possible

Becuse to make the risk of stealing others work to a minimal. There isn't many strips out there which the most of us haven't seen.
And you could put a dragon and cloud in the strip

I don't know if many remembers, but I started a FF7 sketch group, I was the only one who made a picture, and the rest was stolen. I despise cheating, that's why I'm making it strict. but it's nothing to fear about this competition if "you're" not cheating

The thing is, while this is enormously rewarding and all around just really a great deal of fun, it does take people who are devoted to completing their pages. You don't need to be the next Rembrandt, Van Gogh or Tetsuya Nomura, so don't worry if you feel insecure about your own artwork; what matters is to just carry the story (which is basically made up as everybody goes along; go absolutely nuts if you want to), so long as it's FFVII-related. Also, if your page consists of a single drawing - well, why not? So long as the next person can pick up where you left off, have a blast! Although, Wraith does have the final say in what's acceptable and such, I think.

That's the basic premise of a comic-jam, and trust me - if a lot of people participate, it really is great fun. And I for one am really curious what each of us here can come up with, together. So, how's that sound?

What Crux said is true, as long as you give yourself and others a good time, it's all good.
You can make a single picture, as long it gives a pun, and it doesn't haft to be a masterpiece for you to join in!

Like this, here is a picture I made a while back, it's image, but it gives a little story to it.. Not just a pose, or a copy of Squares work, or other fanart for that matter.

Clearly, I'm in as well! I don't have a scanner, but there's several fast, reliable scanners at college, so that's no problem. It does mean I can't deliver on the weekends, but hey :}
