Cait Sith - Discussion (why does everyone hate him?)

i think cait sith is the bestcharacter ever and i dont see why everyone hates him. he is strong he looks cool, hes got cool animation and he is my homie.

I hate Cait "Shit", just for the fact he doesnt do anything good. His attacks are weak, and his limit break is not very useful. Plus he looks like an overweight Pillsbury Doughboy.

He doesn't do anything good? If it were not for him, the black materia would have never been taken out of the temple, and there would be no point to Final Fantasy VII.

Character-wise ... he sucks. His limit break sucks, he got lousy physical attack but his magic attack is OK.

He's a backstabber ... can't really trust him after the stunt he pulled at the Gold Saucer.

Only good thing he ever did was getting the Black Materia, then again, I believe the whole mess could have avoided if the temple stays the way it was.

Um... NO. Let me tell you what, any charactor, who has a limit break that can kill your party, isn't worth having. His stats suck, he's not a good materia user, unless you load him down with it, and his attack power makes me want to cry. Cait Sith is the "joke" charator, but he's not funny...

Well don't get me wrong, his design is ok. Could have been better, but his stats suck. I *tried* to like him, I really did, but his status really blows.
Let me tell you a story, I was doing one of my insane FFVII challenges (no saving, no restoration, charactor swaping "ok")
Well, it was down to the wire, I made it to Emerald Weapon, and ran into him by mistake (damn his guarding the sunken plane ¬¬). Now, to make matters worse, he killed off Red XIII & Cid. Who was left? You guested it... Sith.

I was stuck, no items, no materia but wait.... HIS LIMIT. So I used it... guess what? He killed himself with it.
Lesson learned... don't be a hero... no body likes a hero... or Cait Sith
