Wanna know what's better? I got this from HMFarm.com.

Crops:
64 - There are many crops to choose from in this game like 'taters and 'maters and corn.
BTN - A lot of crops, from the popular 'taters, 'maters, corn, and eggplant, to the secret strawberrries, pumpkins, and spinach.

Characters:
64 - They act like robots, saying the same thing over and over.
BTN - Still robotic, but you can interact with them more, like with birthdays.

Animals:
64 - This game was the first with SHEEP! And the horse had more things to do, like race.
BTN - The dog starts as a cute puppy, and there is a chicken festival, and a sheep one too. The dog race is harder.

Graphics:
64 - Really kiddish, and the crops were 2-D.
BTN - Still kiddish, but had MUCH more detail, like the grass.

Extra Stuff:
64 - Had a cool photo album, power berries, and recipes, though you couldn't cook.
BTN - No photos here, but still has the berries and...YOU CAN COOK!

Shops:
64 - Nice little selection of shops. A florist and a tool shop were nice.
BTN - Much more selection here. Had a supermaket, winery, and a clinic to name some.

Saving System:
64 - Nice and quick, just the way it should be!
BTN - Get some chips, a drink and get comfy, this game takes FOREVER to read the memory card and then save to it.

Music:
64 - Cute. Too cute. So cute, it gets annoying.
BTN - Still cute, but a lot less annoying. Nice to listen to.

Animation:
64 - Not very good. When a person was 'posed to go to another place...they just stood there. And when chopping wood the game might freeze.
BTN - Very nice, but when the bells ring, you stop moving until it loads. And the people move from place to place really fast!

Controls:
64 - You can move diagonally, but you can't jump over weeds or rocks. You can put stuff in the sack, but can't take out stuff a short way.
BTN - Can't move diagonally, but jumping over rocks and weeds is easy! And the R1 and R2 buttons really help!

Home Expansions:
64 - An improvement from the older games, you could get a hothouse, stairs, and even a porch! The hothouse rocked.
BTN - Less to choose from (only 5), and the hothouse is smaller, but you get a kitchen to cook in!

So, basically, BTN is the winner. Any other comparisons can be put here.

This is the WORST part about BTN. In all Harvest Moon games the playability level goes down after your evaluation, pretty much nothing left to buy and no more goals to achieve.

True, I watch TV while I wait until the save screen loads! And also the little freezing with the bells ringing had twice froze my game. Also, I think BTN has a bigger landscape and more places to explore.

I think Harvest Moon:Back to Nature is better than Harvest Moon 64.

BTN rulz. 'cept for loadin part. However, my game doesn't freeze. And YES it is long for the game to save compared to others. But it's okay by itself. Maybe becoz' mine is PSone?

Btw: Seen STH screenshots, graphics sux. Ugh.
