No, the 3rd year the mayor comes and says if you're staying or going. You have to befriend all the villagers and have house extensions,and alot of crops grown. (At least 500 if i remember correctly)

You don't have to ship 500 crops to be accepted. You must have a high enough percentage at the end of the 3 years in order to stay. (I forget the exact percentage but if you get 50% then you are sure to be okay.) If the villagers accept you, you can play after the 3 years. I made it to the 5th before I got bored.

Yup you can play after the 3 years as long as you are accepted into the village. The credits will roll but after that, you can continue playing.

And you have to play until 5 years to truly complete the game, as I have explained in another thread.

No, the furthest I got to was summer year 4, and Popuri started getting annoyed. My goal now is to stay playing until the end of year 6, because too much after that is too long. How can people play it for ten years? I will get sick of my wife~~!!

I gotta admit Popuri is anoying, but her hair is just too cool.

Yeh. It seems to change~~!! I think it is 40%, because someone wrote in and asked Natsume and they replied saying that it was 40%. Although some people have said they have managed to get through with only 24%. I am not sure. I think it depends on how well you done in your first year~~~ Or I am not sure. Ask Soli~~!!
