Since many people tend to have problems when it comes to submitting codes for cheat devices, we have made these guidelines to help people who are interested in contributing codes.
Please follow all these guidelines to increase the chance of approval of your code.
1) Submit the actual codes on your cheat. We all know this may sound silly, but you don't know how many times it has happened. A lot of people only submit descriptions codes, but don't submit the code themselves. The code submission forms are to upload the codes themselves, along with a description if necessary, but not just descriptions. Please make sure you submit actual codes and not just descriptions.
2) Submit codes with the appropriate formats. This is important, because copying and pasting codes in code managers is a convenience and people shouldn't have to edit codes themselves before adding them to their devices. Many device codes managers don't allow formats to be input in wrong formats (not to mention the wrong format looks ugly), so please make sure your code follows the defined code formatting guides.
Here is the proper format for each cheating device code for different systems. Each line of your code should follow one of these formats, depending on what you are submitting:
PSX (Gameshark): XXXXXXXXXXXX / 12 characters arranged 12
PS2 and GC (Gameshark): XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX / 13 characters arranged 4, 4, 5
PS2 (Code Breaker): XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX / 16 characters arranged 8, 8
Nintendo DS and DSi (Action Replay): XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX / 16 characters arranged 8, 8
Nintendo DS and DSi (Code Breaker): XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX / 16 characters arranged 8, 8
GBA / SP (Action Replay): XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX/ 16 characters arranged 8, 8
GBA / SP (Gameshark): XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX/ 16 characters arranged 8, 8
GBA / SP (Code Breaker): XXXXXXXX XXXX/ 12 characters arranged 8, 4
For example:
This is an example of a correct Action Replay DS code submission:
All Badges
94000130 FCFF0000
B21C4D28 00000000
B0000004 00000000
200002EA 000000FF
D2000000 00000000
This code will give you all the badges in the game.
This is an example of an incorrect Action Replay DS code submission:
All Badges
94000130 FCFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004
00000000 200002EA 000000FF D2000000 00000000
This code will give you all the badges in the game.
This is an example of another incorrect Action Replay DS code submission:
All Badges
94000130FCFF0000
B21C4D2800000000
B000000400000000
200002EA000000FF
D200000000000000
This code will give you all the badges in the game.
There are many ways you could do it wrong and it's not limited to those two examples, so please just stick the formatting guidelines mentioned above.
3) No Fake codes. This should go without saying but many people really try to get those through. We will catch fake codes 99.9% of the time. If we let them through and discover them, we can still delete them.
4) No WonderMailer, PokéSav, AnimalMap, or other codes created with any other similar software. For those who don't know, PokéSav is a computer tool that allows you to create codes easily. Same with AnimalMap. Please refrain from submitting codes that were generated with any of these software, as any one can generate the same codes without too much effort.
Additionally, it is possible that there are many versions of the same system (The DS and DSi, for example) that have have the same cheating devices but with different versions. It's possible that the codes that work in say, the "normal" ARDS won't work with the ARDSi. But it's possible the opposite is true too. If you have a code that works in both versions, please state so in the code's description. Do the same if the opposite is true.
That's it! If you have any questions feel free to ask in this forum, or send a PM to people with cheating device codes permissions:
