Barriers??? You know that Worker 8's cannot be modified and equiping those gunners with blast gun is enough to destroy them right? Consider the fact that a team of worker 8's are limited to its damage based tactic only...Meaning that all the other team would have to do is move around and heal constantly or equip themselves with auto-life.(worker8 damage themselves) Notice that worker 8 cannot heal... Imagine how freakin easy it would be for a team of calculators with ignore jump to just damage them from a hill...And by the time the worker 8 would get up there, the calculators would just drop at the bottom forcing the worker 8s to walk back...Face it... Its ok to have one worker 8 on the team but not a whole team of that...

Much better  !!! lol The point is, no matter how you look at it, there are to many variables to decide which team is the best you know? You can come up with very good ones but not perfect ones...

I can't believe you guys are still on this subject!!!! There are no perfect team!!!! (again unless you're using gameshark) There are to many factors that decide it....The field!!! The position!!!! Water...Lava....Luck!!! and others....
When I told Shadow Rue to add a chemist to his Worker 8 team I still saw flaws in that team. The same with a lot of your ideas... Heck! Even the ALL Situation team i'm running has its own flaws. The point of this game is to manage to survive with them.
ShadowRue's team may not seem appealing to most of you, but it still beats the game right??? (except for some rescue missions) I'm 100% sure that whatever legit team you come up with it can be beaten.

I don't say Worker 8 is bad.... I just say that possibilities with him are so limited...A team of worker 8s have a limited power and ability...

If you're out to steal everyone's treasures, then a team of Monks or Ninjas with Steal, Speed Save, and Concentrate would be helpful.
If you're in the Deep Dungeon and you want to Catch some good weapons that the Ninjas throw at you, a party of high brave Knights [to break Thief Hat] with Math Skill [to cast Don't Move] would be essential. Well said

Bards only. Dancers get Jump +3. I believe you get move +3 from thieves. I think so...

Squires get Move +1 Archers get Jump +1 Thieves get Move +2 and Jump +2 Bards get Move+3 Dancers get Jump +3.
