Anyone else think this

Going into the game I heard it had a complicated plot. In that sense it was kind of a disapointment. The background stuff is just a little, but seriously this is the entire storyline. Yes there will be spoilers.


1) Ramza and friends graduate.
2) Meets Algus who reveals someone has been kidnaped.
3) Rescue kidnaped guy.
4) Someone else gets kidnaped.
5) Go to rescue second kidnapped person.
6) One of your friends get the **** blow out of him doing so.
7) Someone gets kidnaped.
8) Go after the person who kidnaped her.
9) Have her temporarily turned over to you.
10) Decide to bring her to someone who can "help her."
11) Meet someone else who needs his help (insert wizard of oz song here).
12) Turn her over.
13) Find out that he isn't that good of a guy.
14) Go to rescue her.
15) He turns into a demon and you kill him.
16) Go on quest to kill demons and retrieve stones.
17) Another person is kidnaped.
18) Continue quest with the added objective of rescuing her.
19) Finish quest.

It's a little simplified, but if you seriously want to see a complicated plot you should see Chrono Cross. By the time you actually know what's going on it's time to fight the big boss.

You think that's it's strongest point. Come on, there might be 10 total story battles where your not in the process of recuing one of 4 or 5 charicters.


And, another thing, don't the lucavi strike you has kind of slow. As awsome as it would be, they never once team up on you (except as human), and lets consider the thoughts of Adramelch or however you spell that:

"Oh no, looks like that guy found out about everything. Better send him to the netherworld. Ok, now that that's taken care of time to kill that guy who keeps killing lucavi."

I never said it is a bad plot. It just dosn't live up to the hype. Dose anyone disagree that it would be quite awsome if say, Mustadio pulled out a stone at the end and it turned out that he was one of them the entire time. (Just before you fight him and Vormov)

I've also always thought that it would be quite funny if when Alma seperated herself she ended up as Ajorna's lucavi form.

Or how about: Secretly from all of the Warriors good and evil alike, Balbanes got revived by Vormav using one of the stones powers, but in some kind of Demon Form. He would reveal him to you before the Ultimate fight, in which Ramza vows to fight and defeat him on his own, much like the Wiegraf Battle at Riovannes....

Come on. It seems like everytime your betrayed it's by some a merc who's always talking about money and contracts, or some guy who's name is almost identical to Dracula. How much of this can't be seen from a mile away?

The point is this, dose a betrayel really count if your expecting it? It dosn't matter why they're trying to kill me, and the difficulty of a battle is judged compleatly diffrently from the plot.
