Beating the game with no casualties is cake. I'd say the measure of an FFT master is completing a solo challenge (something that I'm not even trying, lol).

Personally, I thought that having Teta remain on the bridge gave more impact to the story. It made her death and Delita's grief feel more real.

I've never really tried inviting enemies. Only once, under a pretty desperate circumstance.

Psh, no way. A Mediator's invitation is still a pretty bitching ability. IF it works, then you basically have 1 soldier under your control, forever. And you don't even have to keep them. It's like a Charm you can't crack. The odds shift in your favor sizeably.
And they still have a few handy talk skills. The faith and brave boosting ones, mainly.
And they can use a gun! ALWAYS good.

The worst class, is debatable. Personally, I'm sort of inclined to say Oracles are the worst.

Like the previous two before me said, and like i stated in an arguement decades ago, Mediator is an "Overlooked" Job. I mean people give 1st glance at the job, and just gawk and snicker at its abilites. The only feature that these cretins probably notice, is that the job can equip a gun, and has "Equip Gun" in the case you'd want to put that Spell Gun you managed to swipe from Balk on a job that has no business holding one (A Monk, For instance). The Job runs a little more deeper below the surface than that....

1) INVITATION- Its main sell-point, like everyone knows, is its Invitation abilty. I know, everyone cringes at those disgustingly-low percentile rates of the move actually wokring (somewhere in the ballpark of 12-24%, with compatible signs). Of course it has to be this low, because of the rewards that you reap for successfully turning over an enemy. Most prized are human fighters, because of their versatility. End of fight you can:

a) Recruit the newfound member onto the team, and work him/her into your battle-rotation. There is a possiblitly that this unit could have jobs available that you havent even seen yet.

b) OR....strip him/her of his/her entire equipment list (Not LIKE THAT.....PERVERTS ). This is rather nice, as they always have weapons/armor that is top-of-the-line, and you usually dont have enough, if any, of these items. Once you'd picked at what they have to offer, you can kindly send them on their way....KINDLY I SAID...

2) MR. ELMDOR - Coming thru Late-Game, when someone mentions Elmdor, one thought comes to many a veteran FF Tactics minds. Yes, were talking the Extremely-Elusive GENJI ARMOR set that the man is sporting in the halls of Limberry Castle. If you dont have Bewoulf, or forgot to Bring along an Oracle/Yin-Yang Magic (Foxbird), then this is your next best weapon for lowering his bravery (its just going to take a little longer though). Threatening Elmdor enough times will make him become so scared, he'll wet his pants, and run to the furthest corner of the battlefield. You're going to have to endure the Assassins and his pesky Draw-Out attacks, but it does work. Once chickened, just get your best theif over there, and steal until hes left with his boxer shorts (you can try to steal those too, if youre into that kinda thing, sickos....)

haha..thank you....i definitely appreciate the comment, as it is so rare that i get a comment on any of my opinions (means alot to me). Me and am3930 dont see eye to eye all the time, but i still respect him though. he always gives solid facts to back his views....great guy.

Funny u mentioned how you killed him. I used just ONE Ligthning Stab out of my Orlandu, and Elmdor was waving a white flag. The battle lasted about 40 seconds, and thats NOT a figure of speech. I thought that i'd be expecting alot more out of the Sephiroth Look-alike Noble...

Emldor is like an "Uber-Samurai". Having 3 ninjas on my team, i realize this fact - Lowering his brave has nothing to do with your unit's abilites what-so-ever, its for Elmdor himself. Shrinking his Brave enough times not only PREVENTS him from attacking (chickened-warriors rule "escape" priority over any other option), but it also minimizes his Counter % (an action that IS associated with Brave). Obviously, in order to pilfer his rare equips, youre going to have to be on an adjacent panel, and if his brave is down to 10%, he has 10% of retorting to a steal attempt, which is alot more HP-frienldy then say, 70? Stealing his weapon will stop his Draw-Out, but it wont stop him from countering, and even with bare-fist, Elmdor doesnt need too many hits to KO your little theif friend.


AND if your going for the equipment.....like many other GENJI-fanatics state: you'll want to 1st steal the shield from the SIDE of Elmdor. This in turn raises your steal% (he now lacks a shield to guard against it). After that, it wont be too long until you have the complete GENJI set, which you can show ur friend, just to piss him/her off in the case that he/she already walked off the battlefield without it .

After playing FFT a little recently, I now realize more about Mediators.
Threaten is pretty much an awesome skill second only to Beowulf's Chicken spell. about 4 or 5 threats, and the enemy is chickened!
Negotiate also beats the shit out of Thief's steal gil. For one, (at least when I used it) It ALWAYS works. ALWAYS. You get great EXP, better JP, and a shitload of gil. Training Mediators became a cakewalk.
