This is very possible. There isn't really another very good explanation. Maybe he returned Lloyd to the former Wingly glory or something. Melbu was certainly powerful.

I don't think there was anything said or revealed that would say the Moon Objects had any other power except for breaking the Signet Spheres.

The Divine Moon Objects were absolutely nothing except objects that held vast amounts of power. Zieg/Melbu used the power in it to transmigrate into the Kraken, fly, and destroy the Signets. When we play again, really listen to Charle when you go through all that stuff. They made the Signets to restrain the power of the god in the Crystal Sphere because they were afraid of Melbu's power. Melbu then made the Divine Moon Objects in case he ever needed the vast power needed to destroy the Signets. Turns out, he did need them. And I guess it's possible he used the Moon Gem's power to make Lloyd extra strong after that or something.

This is true. Obviously their power has been deteriorating over time. But Lloyd was probably about as strong as an average Wingly back during the Campaign, wouldn't you think? So we still have no idea. After three pages of discussion.

You know, we didn't really get a lot of information on Lloyd's background before he met the fake Diaz. I would think though that Lloyd was just an exceptional wingly. Even though his powers deteriorated, he was still top notched.

I'm not quite sure about that, either. But the dragons obviously helped as we saw in that one flashback Rose had. I think that each Dragoon had their own legion of Dragons or something. Like Rose had her Vassal Dragon Michael, and through him, Rose controlled a bunch of other Dark-based dragons. Each Dragoon would have their own Vassal Dragon and however many more dragons under their control as well. So maybe that's what tipped the scales.

Considering the fact that Winglies can be Dragoons too(Meru) it could be quite possible that he got a little of the power from the divine dragoon.

Lloyd was not a dragoon.
He never got the recognition from the Divine Dragon. What he did get was awesome new armor!

I suppose obvious flaws can point this out...
There was no resonance with lloyd and the divine spirit...
Lloyds armor had no dragon wings on it... just his usual wingly wings.
He didn't use any divine dragon magic.


Next off... for the Dragon Camapaign.
There were only 7 Dragoons.
There are many dragons as we've learned from the game but only 7 elements (i assume)
All races were pitted in slavery under the winglies.
Of this the humans (probably greatest in number and most courageous) decided to rebel. Emporer Diaz enlisted the help of the Dragons and then came 7 Dragons. Through that bond there also came the Dragoons.
Suddenly the Winglies were getting torn up by the utter destruction caused by the Dragoons and Dragons, as well as the humans.
Next thing you know the winglies employ the virages to counter the dragons.
Dragons are more powerful then Virages but both are pretty tough.
The super virages killed Kazas(purple dragoon), Shirley(white dragoon), Belzac(golden dragoon) in the final battle.
The other dragoons blue and green i couldn't say for sure how they died but they DID die during the final fight.
Obviously some winglies were stronger than the others... Melbu and Faust proves this.
Lloyd and his GF can also back this up. The small forest winglies.
Whereas the ones in the Desert with Charle were much stronger.
Once Melbu died... so did the slavery of the other races. Like Charle said... not all winglies approved of this.
Look at it like slavery was in america.
The North opposed. The South for it.
Who knows why the winglies were getting weaker?
I guess Endiness isn't new anymore... so all the magic wears off of it!
