I really want to know because i was like 10 when i finished this game. They don't really follow the ratings here in the Philippines so i played it.

How old were you guys when you held a copy of this masterpiece?

Anyways, Im just fully understanding the story now that im 15 because it was too complex for the 10 year old mind of mine back then.

When i was 7! it was my first game and then when i was 8 i played it again.

now im 16 =)

havent play it in a while...

its been a while since i posted here, I was 15 when i finished the game for the first time but of course i could not grasp the concept of such a masterpiece so i've replayed it several times since then. Ah, the memories

Sadly I was 17 when I first started playing this game. And I say its sad because I'm still yet to complete the game and I'm now 22. I don't know if its because everytime I start the game I get so into the story I don't want it to end, or because I keep getting distracted with games that fail in comparison. When will I finish this epic? WHEN?

I was 'knocked out the box' by this game. It completely took me by surprise, and every RPG since has been shit in comparison. (Not total shit, but you know what i mean )

Xenogears set the bar so far high above other RPGs, that it couldn't even be topped by it's intended remake with the PS2 Xenosaga series. (Which crashed and burned horribly for various greed reasons)

Xenogears also features some pretty great music by famed composer Yasunori Mitsuda. The Xenogears "Creid" album set the bar equally as high as far as BGM inspired music goes. His work with Millenial Fair was outstanding.

Xenogears does storytelling just right, and no other game in any genre has really taken it that seriously, with so much focus and direction despite the console's limitations (and 2D spite based characters). It just goes to show you, the gameplay experience is far far more important than any visual presentation.

To this day I hail it as the greatest RPG ever.

Can't remember also. So long ago ... maybe some 8 or 10 years ago.

I was 18 and now I'm 22. Still havent beating the damn game. But god its such a good game.
