I already got the game and I need help on how to get the summon Destiny.

Get to disc3, Get the light orb at Aifread Tome, then the dark orb at Shizel Castle (Last boss castle-see walkthrough)
Put this two orbs at the relay point conversion room.
GET AIBIRD to fly!

Then go to the tower surrounded by mountains at Inferia, and defeat Valkarie, using Reid ALONE.

Lastly, go to hideout1 in Celestia, where u see a sword. That is the S.D. It allows you to get Destiny Summon on Meredy!

Without spoiling anything, anyone familiar with the first Tales of Destiny game will be very glad they went through all the trouble to get this "Summon" attack. Make sure you pay attention when you first use the attack and see if you see anything familiar.

btw you can only use this attack once every half hour (game clock).

I don't have the game, but I can tell that this is one of the best games ever! Makes me want to break out the prequel to pass the time until I get this. . . . . .

For an RPG three discs long, the game is actually kinda short. I finished it in less than 45 hours my first time through; but man oh man when I looked at some FAQs to see what I missed...

The battle and magic systems are by far the best thing about this game. But anyone familiar with past "Tales of" games will find even more to like, what with the cameos and secrets and all. Even those who've only played Tales of Destiny (the least strongest in the series) way back in the day will catch onto something here.

I have Tales of Destiny, and had a short taste of Tales of Phantasia. Bad thing is, I don't play Tales of Destiny 1 anymore, due to its bad storyline, in my opinion. . . . . . .

the way you can use other character is by going to the menu stream. then go to formation and click on it. you will see two option, click on switch and replace the character you want to use with reid(leader)

Is this an item you can equip? When I think of Combo Counter I think of the numbers that appear in battle when your characters land blows on enemies while they're still reeling from previous attacks.

Oh, that?

Well, in the first ToD, to execute a combo attack, use X or whatever you set the command for a combo attack for, with a directional button. I think the choices are X, Up+X, Down+X and Left/Right+X.

Does anybody know what to do in the underwater part in Celestia ? I'm stuck there .

Ok in the underwater part of celestia u need to find the 5 hidden caves and collect the silver cages that are in there. Afterwards u find aifreads platform and install the cages there and see what happens. here are the locations of the caves 1=(57,112), 2=(153,164),3=(167,111),4=(228,41)5=(3,150). And aifreads platform thing is located at 98,93 in the gps system that u collected earlier so use that and u should find what you are looking for and if you have any other questions just email me and I will help u ok

I'm at the last dungeon and have to complete six puzzles.in order to infuse all the craymels at their places.Pls tell me how to push all the three rocks into the hole.....so far can only push two into it.thanks

If you still want to know how to put those rocks in the hole, I'll tell you how. There should be three rocks in the room. one on the far left one in the middle and one on the far top right hand side. There should be about 7to 8 pillars in the room. I don't know if you have to hit these in a certain order but I started with the one in the top right. Hit the one on the top right until it collides with the one on the left. then hit it down to the pillar on the bottom left then hit it to the pillar on the bottom right. Then push it up to the next pillar then it should hit the middle ice block. then it should be in line with the hole. Just do the same with the middle pillar. with the one on the far left make sure thats the last one and put in in by hitting the pillar in the top left and hitting it to the right, and it should be in line with the hole.

It seems almost no console RPG is complete without a sliding block puzzle. Good luck with this one comrade, it's not too tough once you realize the proper order you should slide them in. To help you out, think about how you can use the pillars to stop the blocks in "strategic" locations as you set yourself up for the solution.

Absolutely no RPG doesn't have a sliding block puzzle, I think. Even the Lufia games from the SNES had some, I think.

u should put a girl(either chat, farah or meredy) in the line-up. do this in the formation option and switch reid with one of these girls. then approach the huge teeth!! good luck.

I'm so sorry, but apparently I'm stuck, so I'm asking for help.
Okay, I'm at the Ifreed's Tomb, where I'm suppose to get the Hikari no Tama, but I donno what to do! I managed to get the hat, alright, but what about the other 2 parts??? (I hate it when I don't know japanese...) I had been in there for at least 4 hrs, managed to level up at least 3 levels, and almost pulled all my hair out! HELP!

well! you're in luck to day!! but i only know the next part of his face which is the beard! to get this "thing" you will have to find a secret door at the top of the screen. do you remember a japanese sort of place? at one particular bridge you would fight some monsters jumping from the water? this unescapable. after the match go to the next section and look closely. at the top of the screen you will find a door then just go through and you would find his beard! as for the other thing, good luck to you and me!!

OK Theres iz the shadow craymel that iz found in cellesita head to balirs castle put dont ENTER head east and u will find a island u can see a entrace but u cant enter so use the airfish then u can enter the shadow one iz hard i think he has over 100,000 life i had some trouble but i found reids eternal sword witch iz really strong HOPE THIS REALLY HELPS

Once you have gotten all of max's skills except his final skill go back to Tinnsia and drop off Max at his office. (He cannot be on your team to get his last skill. When he is off your team go to Jini and there should be a lady painting, (Has to be at night) she will give you the canceller. (If she is not there you have to find the painting lady a few times around celestia until she fills her sketchbook) Then, put max back on your team and go to jini, he will find the pink miacis and you will get elemental master.

I have to have this game!!! The name ToD2 came up in the store's system and I ordered a copy... heh heh... Only AFTER did I see the 2002 release date. Is it really coming? I sure hope so.

My fingers are crossed as well. The screenshots you can find here look REALLY nice. Tales of Destiny wasn't bad (can't see why they had to remove the excellent Japanese vocals from the opening movie though) but this is lookin' mighty fine. Who knows what the future might bring? Maybe Namco is taunting us.

This is old school news now but Tales of Eternia is indeed coming over to North America later this year as "Tales of Destiny 2" (hence the game's new title here at Neoseeker). Great!!! I wonder if they'll localize the anime based on the game as well? Here's hoping, the intro to that show rocks!

Just out of curiosity did anyone play ToD? Not to spoil anything, but the opening and ending hinted at more. Was there more to the animated scenes that was cut out of the American version? This question has bothered me for quite sometime.

I hope nothing gets cut from ToD2.

One more thing. Will there be mini-games/side quests in this one?

I'm playing it now but I got stuck in the "Forest of Temptation so I needed some help with the walkthrough.
My comment on the game: IT ROCKS!!!!!!! (however sadly the voice acting could be better....)
My advice GO GET IT! the fighting system is cool as ever!!!
and the story I have yet to discover!
You don't have to but you could go to www.supernova.u2i.org and see a cool site and see the game release dates for playstation and be happily suprised

I live in Hawaii it came out in oct. so i went to the store and got it ($50!!!)its a good game i suggest u get it .

You bet! this baby's just an extraordinary game, as a RPG'er, I'm so relieved that there's a game that look alike Star Ocean 2nd Story, man...U gotta have this one!

star ocean 2nd rock to its cool cause tales of destiny reminds me so much of star ocean2nd but i never beat the master on star ocean too hard
