I must say...GT3 is almost only better graphics... less cars, less tracks etc.

i reckon GT2 is better then GT3 because not only are there more cars, but you can also customise most of them to make them look cool

That are racing modifications...not that superb feature, but fun

GT2 has worse graphics than GT3, and that can take a lot out of the game. Plus, in GT3, the gas and brake are touch sensitive- GT2 doesn't have that.

GT2 does have more cars (I don't know about more tracks).

Still, that should be fixed with the arrival of GT4.

I think both games have their strong points. The tuning was better/easier in GT2 I think. But yes GT4 will be better. Better than GT1, GT2 and GT3 together

GT3 was a more advanced game - better graphics, more tracks, and different road condidtions, etc. But I gave GT2 a 4.7/5 in my review, and i would give GT3 a 4.3, mostly because of the four-fold lack of cars in comparison to GT2.
And yes, GT4 will deliver. It will be the perfect GT racing game, the vision of Polyphony since the first work on GT1: an utterly huge selection of cars (and hopefully a better one than in GT2), as many as a hundred or more different courses (including different road conditions), even-better-than-GT3 graphics, hopefully better music and even more lifelike sounds, and a vastly improved AI driver that acts more human. However, car damage is still a miss.

Well, more than 500 cars isn't the most important thing, cause you never will race them all often! Most imporatant thing is the AI...

whit wait wait, did someone say you can constomise the LOOK of the car in gt2? i never saw any apperence options. just the racing mod, but they have that in gt3 too

No- there's no racing modifications in GT3, unfortunately.

I'm worried about GT4. GT1's graphics were a bit better than GT2's because the game wasn't as complex. Will the graphics be worse on GT4 because of the absurd number of cars and tracks crammed onto it? Maybe there will be two discs, but again that brings up bad memories of GT2. Two discs = pain in the butt.

And yes, A.I. is very important. Almost more so than the graphics.

are you all blind? the gt3 is a lot better looking, you can tune the race cars even more, (i believe the escudo can go up to 1700hp), but it sucks in playability. it's easy, and most of all, it's arcade all the way. no need for extra-driving-super-skills, it's more push-the-gas-and-avoid-the-walls.... i hate it.

I think that GT2 has more cars and more credits that you can earn. I earned enough to buy a Viper playing Tahiti Road on Sunday Cup; the easiest level. On GT3, The easiest level gave only 1000 credits, compared to the GT2's 3000 credits. I don't know if this is a downside or an upside, but for me, it's better.
